Food was made fast, great variety as it’s the only food shop on the beach not the best in the world but definitely good for lunch if spending all day at Sailors Haven. Few seating can get packed with more people, had to eat back on the beach

If you’re a fan of the TV series Gilligan’s Island, then Sailors Haven is a must see. Most people arrive here and, (unlike Gilligan’s) depart by boat; either the ferry from Sayville, a water taxi or their own boats which can dock in the Marina. On a sunny Sunday morning in July, there were 18 boats docked in the marina, with plenty of room for more.
This location is attractive for day-trippers from the mainland. The island is narrow at this point so it’s only about a 10 min walk from the ferry to the beach. The sandwiches in the snack bar are well prepared but somewhat overpriced. I had a basic grilled cheese a few weeks ago for $11.85 plus tax. Breakfast is available on weekends with prices between $6 and $10 for the mains. The Love Fins concessionaire staff are pleasant but the food and most prices in the gift shop are not good value for money. To be fair, this is a remote location so all items except for the fresh blackberries that can be picked in season need to be shipped in. The stunning natural beauty of the dunes, swale can be mesmerizing and the Sunken forest is a rarity not to be missed. The concessionaire should consider markdowns and lower prices where possible.
Parking: There is no car ferry to Fire Island and all vehicles require permits depending on where they are driving.

Live music on the weekends. Food and bar prices are average for Fire Island. They give you a lot of ice cream.
Quesadilla was actually pretty good. Very

It was overpriced, but it's great that you can get some food, refreshing drinks and water (free cold water) . And the view is great.

Standard snack food, rather over priced but nice. Coffee, hot dog, hamburger, ect. In 2018, they opened a bar section, also over priced, but still nice. Credit cards accepted.
Sailor Haven is the best little known spot on FI. It’s never crowded and everyone is so friendly. The ice cream shop / bar is clutch on a hot day. Best part is being allowed to bring your drinks to the beach and you won’t get hassled by police.
Good food. It's a bit pricey but that is to be expected from a small location. Worth it.
The best Blt ever. The carmelized onoins take it over the top!

Cute snack bar located right off the ferry and before you get to the beach. They have above average snack bar food and a bar making it perfect for a beach day. They don’t take debit cards so bring credit, cash, or plan to use the atm inside the store and pay the fee.
