I’ve lived in Yaphank for 8 years and avoid this place like a plague. Considering there’s no competition in the area (the other deli doesn’t have fresh food either); today; they got me again.
Every time I’ve walked into here there’s a lady chatting it up with a cop who can’t be bothered. You can stand there uncomfortably for 10/15 min and she won’t acknowledge you. She waits for the “kids” to help you. Older woman, glasses with a stank face like she smoked her life away— can’t miss her. In love with every man that walks in there but if you’re a woman you can stand on the back of the line all day.
The kids are miserable. Probably from dealing with her so they can barely take an order. No one smiles, no one greets you, no one’s happy to be here; great family? Why are the sandwiches always made wrong? Whats the rush if there’s barely anything in the sandwich? It’s always more bread than anything else. Today someone threw half the shaker of pepper on my sandwich & didn’t care to make a new one. No ketchup. They wrapped it up and served it to me anyway. I hate it here; it’s ghetto!
Coffee sucks, food sucks, service sucks! Drive AWAY from this jail cafeteria.

I was treated SO POORLY by an employee. Female roughly mid 30s. She had my order ready, I was making my coffee and she was rolling her eyes and tapping her fingers on the table to make a clear gesture of inpatients. Horrible service from her. I will never be back.

4 and a 1/2 stars because their bacon can be crumbly. The staff is very nice. Other customers are friendly. Over all experience, pretty good. For others who do not know about this deli, it's a diamond in the ruff.

Nice deli! I highly recommend their pickle sandwich! The salads are also good as well!
Came for the infamous pickle sandwich, dropped about $70. For 4 pickle sandwiches, 2 bags of chips and a red bull...plus tip. Employees were very nice, quick and efficient. Probably won't get those sandwiches again though.

We recently catered my daughter’s graduation party from Yaphank Deli and the food was amazing! Everyone was raving about the sausage and peppers and eggplant parm. I hardly had any food left. The hero’s were one of the best we’ve had and the amount of salads they supplied was more than generous! Definitely recommend Yaphank Deli if you’re looking for a caterer. I also have to mention that I’ve had their pickle sandwiches and omggg go get one!! 👌
