Ordered on Grub Hub for pickup because it was listed as open. Waited for confirmation only to get a call from Grubhub that the restaurant did not confirm my order so they cancelled it. This is the second time this has happened. They consistently show up as open when in fact they are not. They’re also typically not open during their posted business hours. Not sure if it’s the restaurant or Grubhub who’s having the issue but it’s not a good look for Evanders.

Good food and good service! I have been there several times since they opened. The shrimp and chips combo is my favorite!! But have had their mac and cheese and their fish combo; they have all been delicious! Try it and you will not be disappointed

Shrimp was extremely excellent the fish was okay but the mac and cheese it was like chewing gum I don't know if it was old from the day before but it was weird I never had mac and cheese like that before the coconut rice was okay but I tasted better otherwise I recommend the shrimp the shrimp was very good very tender wasn't hard like most people have hard shrimp

The gentlemen in the establishment are very personable. Warm and friendly. I love that they are close to home. I dont have to fight traffic and go all the way to city island to get what i love! Support your local businesses. They have a varied menu of African American delicacies. They cook the seafood fresh to order. Way to go Y.O.!!!!!
