While waiting for blueprints to be printed at staples i decided to grab a quick bite. My dining experience at Grassy Sprain Diner was transformed from ordinary to exceptional, all thanks to Frances, an outstanding server who went above and beyond despite being overlooked by the original server and management.Upon entering the diner, I was initially attended to by another server who seemed preoccupied and disinterested. However, Frances quickly noticed and stepped in to ensure that my needs were met. Despite not being my designated server, she approached with a warm smile and genuine eagerness to assist.Throughout my meal, Frances exhibited an unparalleled level of attentiveness and dedication. Despite the apparent oversight from the original server and management, she made sure to check on me regularly, ensuring my dining experience was nothing short of excellent. Her proactive approach and unwavering commitment to customer satisfaction were truly commendable.What impressed me most was Frances's professionalism and grace in handling the situation. Despite the challenges posed by the oversight, she remained composed and focused on delivering exceptional service. Her genuine care for the customers and passion for her work shined through, making me feel valued and appreciated as a guest.Despite the shortcomings in management and the initial oversight, Frances single-handedly turned my dining experience around, elevating it to a memorable and enjoyable one. Her dedication, professionalism, and outstanding service deserve recognition and praise. It is very rare to see this type of service anywhere in today's service industry. The management can do a bit better to make sure everyone gets treated with the upmost respect everyone deserves. Thank you Frances i will be back to enjoy a meal but better yet your top notch service.

As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted with a welcoming smile and seated. The waitress was super nice and she kept checking to make sure we were good. A big plus for me was I totally forgot to ask for my eggs cooked soft but not runny. But to my surprise my eggs came exactly the way I like them. It goes without saying their food is good!

I left one star because I had to in order to write this reviewDo not eat here they have these huge water bug roaches that walk around in plain site where customers eatMy co worker and I went to get lunch thank God we never got to order food we looked down on the floor at the next table and there was 3 huge water bug roaches surrounding the table then we told the people and a waiter came over with a napkin and picked the upThat told us that they have an infestation and the waiter is use to doing thisI’m sure all places have these water bug roaches but the fact that they were in plain sight let me know they have an infestation that needs their attentionPlease do not eat here

After having patronized the Argonaut Diner for years we took a chance on the Grassy Sprain Diner which was inferior in scale....but it's the food that counts, right? Let's go to the MENU. (2) Chicken Cutlet Parmesan Dinners1. Chicken Cutlet was thin & dry with the thinnest topping of mozzarella cheese I have ever had.2. SAUCE tasted like a store bought jar of Prego in texture. I can a whole lot better than that at home.3. Mashed potatoes were OK but you had to ask for butter. Mashed without a sude of butter?!4. No bread was offered.5. SOUP was acceptable.6. Service was medicore....NO, Is everything OK?BOTTOM LINE...I didn't care for my first time and won't be doing a second.

Came here pre-covid for dine-in and walked away thinking it is a solid place though disappointed in today’s take out experience. Ordered a breakfast sandwich + homefries. While the sandwich was ok and nothing to brag home about, the homefries is below standard with no seasoning or flavoring whatsover. Literally plain fried potato that reminds me of those instant box food. Since we had good dine-in experience, not sure if the below expected quantity is due to take-out format but regardless will not be enthusiastic about coming back here.
This diner occupies the space that was a Friendly's restaurant for many years. The menu is what you would expect at any good diner. The staff is friendly and the service is first rate. The prices are reasonable. I have been going there for several years, and I have never been disappointed. I am happy to give them my top rating.

My dad and I go to Grassy Sprain Diner a few times a week. It's a very friendly diner with an extensive menu, good food, and fair prices. The waiters and waitresses are attentive and very nice. The parking lot is large with free parking. It's easy to find a parking spot. This is definitely a nice, casual, friendly spot to grab a bite to eat.

i was disgusted coming out of there today. Two of the ladies were sick and when I asked why they dont go home if they didn't feel well they said they can't. I also asked about the older guy in the front who kept coughing without covering his mouth and spitting phlem in the trash/sink. This was very unsanitary & to even do in front of customers was super gross. They said he was the owner. I didn't eat my food at all after I saw this. The server was not sick. She saw i didn't eat and gave me the check and told me the owner said I still had to pay. This diner is horrible!
