I’ve always loved the food at Hapag since it opened. But on a recent dine-in, I was quite disappointed. I ordered the Crispy Pork Kare-Kare Special and it failed to deliver. Sauce was lacking its usual flavor, consistency and amount. It was bland and too thick, the amount hardly enough to coat the dish for a full authentic kare-kare experience. Would not recommend this special at all. I heard there is a new chef, so that might explain why. The laing was okay in flavor, but the 2 pieces of pork topping it didn’t seem freshly cooked, but rather recycled & just heated up.Too bad, as I used to have high praises for Hapag. Service remains good though.

From the minute you walk into this place, it’s such great vibes. The staff is super friendly and make you feel right at home. Now the food… it is out of this world!!!??? Those in the area that haven’t tried the filipino food i highly recommend this place as it’s one of the best in the area. May this establishment continue to thrive in success???

The best. It’s essentially the only and closest Filipino restaurant I can get to and so grateful it’s delicious every. single. time. I have used them to cater my family events for the past 3yrs. They provide a nice authentic vibe with long wooden tables for the whole family/party to sit altogether. Always a go-to for myself and the family.

Finally came back to this place on our way back to CT from JFK. Parking was plenty.. one great thing of coming here. Food was just as good as I remembered. Enjoyed the liempo and the bulalo, but for the price you pay they were skimpy on veggies. BF loved the chicken bbq.. and the sisig was okay for me. Not the kind of sisig I really want, made of pork jowl and ears. Service was friendly and attentive. But, the price of food from 3 years ago, nearly doubled. Expensive for Filipino food, but that's the cost you pay for not going to queens looking for street parking.

Food is authentic and delicious. Ambiance is pretty casual. Very disappointed with the lack of beer or drinks except for soda. Very expensive given the venue and so cold, we had to keep our coats on.

Very nice place to eat. I first time come to this restaurant since December 2020. I miss eating in this restaurant, I might come here anytime soon if I do explore Westchester.

OMG! I ordered the pancit and lumpia and it was delicious! Tastes just like my moms. I think you get a lot for the price. I still have leftovers.(one order of each could feed two people) I’ll definitely be coming back! I’m glad we have authentic Filipino food in westchester that’s closer to home.

I've been to filipino restaurants in Queens and Jersey City, but so far Hapag has been my favorite. It's small, yet clean, nicely decorated, servers are nice&the food is freshly cooked&delicious! Some dishes maybe smaller than expected&expensive, but so worth it! When ordering crispy pata from other restaurants it tends to be cut into pieces, skin&meat hard to chew&mostly fat. Not this place. Hell, we took the leftover home&tasted just as good. Too bad they ran out of desserts we wanted to order, but it's all good b/c we were full&I understand their open hours aren't long. Its not just Filipinos customers who eat here, so to the people of Yonkers who want to try food other than Chinese, Italian, Mexican come to Hapag&support this business!

Food is served quickly & the staff are very friendly. I appreciated the fact that they serve tofu as an alternative for those who don't eat meat (ME). The Ukoy became an instant favorite of ours! My husband enjoyed the menudo. It's very small space & fills up quickly over the weekend. We enjoyed our experience & will definitely be back.Vegetarian options: Tofu as an alternative in a few dishes on their special list

We have not tried Filipino food and interested to try. The waiter described all the food and made recommendations. Everything was delicious and tasty. We will definitely go back and try other dishes!Parking: Convenient parking in front of the restaurant.

I don’t dislike the place I’m disappointed at the quality of food to go they serve! I try to be patient and tell myself ok maybe another time it will be better but no! I ordered sizzling sisig a month ago and it wasn’t appetizing very dry and the meat is old. I have addressed this before when I ordered on a separate occasion. They apologized and refunded. So I ordered again, today pork adobo and pancit palabok. So skimpy on pork and again lemme tell you I can tell the difference between freshly cooked pork and most probably recycled pork. I’m so disappointed and it is overly sour. I feel like I wasted driving and paying. And before you tell me I should cook my own food so I won’t be complaining, I never disliked this place. Maybe it’s the cook I don’t like the way he cooks lol. I used to dine in here and no problem except that some food is slightly salty. I came here prepared to bring to work food and I regretted it. By far kare kare and lechon kawali was my fave. I wanted to try every single dish but not everything is done well. For the price you charge and quality of food you serve it’s not quite fair?! I’m just giving my honest opinion on this matter. Of course we all have different taste buds and im not a picky eater either. I just want good quality tasting Filipino dish that’s all. Mabuhay !
