Best hot chocolate I’ve ever had. The Grape Nuts ice cream is genuinely great and the Coquito ice cream turned my girlfriend feral. Special shout-out to the VEGETARIAN MARSHMALLOWS. My girl loves marshmallows but usually can’t eat them because of the gelatin. We were extremely pleased to hear the toasted marshmallow topping doesn’t contain gelatin, especially because it tastes much better than most store-bought marshmallows.
Had to come try the Coquito Ice Cream. It was amazing! So worth it.
I have visited Lost Borough a few times since I live local. I started at the location on north broadway before they went viral. My kids loved all the art on the walls and the yonkers pride throughout. My daughter which was about 10 then was trying to get an internship from the owner🤣. I love all the unique flavors and tastes. Very friendly place. We did go by and get the viral stuff too at the new location but didn’t get the same viral looking hot chocolate that we saw on instagram. But I have gotten the delicious cookie and the banana pudding was very good too. Last week my son and I decided to stop and pick up shakes and a young man helped us and he was so sweet and made our shakes into artwork. Keep up the good work! We definitely are fans of the ice cream but we will try all the new ideas too. Great yonkers spot!
We were really excited to try this local ice cream shops viral hot chocolate, and it left us disappointed . The cup was not filled all the way, and the presentation looked underwhelming. We were still excited To take a picture of our purchase, while doing it, the woman behind the counter, said to the other woman She made the hot chocolate ugly, and we were gonna take a picture of it. I feel like the quality of the product should be the same regardless of if it was going to be shown on social media or not. Consistency. I will post a picture of what I got and a picture of what my friend got.
First time there and young man was extremely pleasant. The ice cream is good and creamy...I added the marshmallow topping that goes on the hot chocolate...delicious.
Every last flavor of ice cream is sooool good. Creamy and flavorful. Do not skip the Hot Chocolate
Omgg! That's how I have to begin this review. My Instagram and sweet tooth left me here, and it did NOT disappoint. The staff were sweet, helpful, and patient as we tried to decide what we wanted. They allowed us to taste some homemade ice cream and gave some suggestions. Overall, 10/10 I would highly recommend it.
Place was on the smaller side but the flavors and smells make up for the space ! I came yesterday and let me tell you the young man ( I think he said his name was Dot ? ) greeted me as soon as I walked in , he had a few customers infront of me but when he did get to me he made my experience worth coming again ! 10/10 customer service at this place . He recommended me to come back for some Hot Coco that me & my husband have been seeing on TikTok , so I will be coming back today !! The TARO was great definitely one of my fav ice cream flavors !
Amazing ice cream, not too sweet. Tried bizcocho, messy girl and vanilla. Dona Rosa was very nice and pleasant walked me through the menu. Great customer service. Gracias
Review for Lawson Barrow Ice Cream – Yonkers, NY
Lawson Barrow Ice Cream is a hidden gem in Yonkers! From the moment we walked in, the place felt warm and inviting. The bright and cheerful decor added to the welcoming atmosphere, and Rosa was an absolute charm to work with—friendly, patient, and knowledgeable about all the flavors.
After sampling several delicious options, I ultimately went with the coconut ice cream, and my wife, who agreed it was amazing, did the same. Every flavor we tried was fantastic, but the coconut stood out with its rich, creamy texture and perfect balance of sweetness.
Parking was a breeze—we pulled up right in front and found a spot immediately. We drove all the way from Brooklyn, which took about an hour and 45 minutes, and it was absolutely worth the trip. We’ll definitely be back, and if you’re ever in the area, this is a must-visit spot. Highly recommend!

I have mixed feelings about this place. The food was pretty good. I did really enjoy the variety of different flavors that they offer bringing the culture into their products. However, the service was horrendous. The older woman behind the counter who I believe was in charge of the place was VERY RUDE and seemed as though she wanted to everyone out. She was giving attitude as though customers in her store were bothering her. Some of the flavor names were not in the right place so we were also asking what certain ice cream flavors were. My experience as a paying customer who spent a good $50+ in one transaction to try a variety of goodies was definitely a negative one. Unfortunately friends of mine who have also visit have experienced the same miserable woman who clearly does not understand how to manage customer interactions. I will not be frequenting again and will be sure to let others know when this place comes up. Your clientele is what’s most important for a successful business. If you make us feel like we’re bothering you, guess what lady? You won’t have customers! I can 100% see this as a failing business for that reason.

I’m not one to leave reviews let alone a negative one. However - after visiting the shop twice this seems to be the only way to be heard. Make sure to ALWAYS press PRINT YOUR RECEIPT. Even with my receipt in her hand they accused me of not paying and said the receipt was not mine.
The two ladies gaslit me TOGETHER and literally called me CRAZY. I asked if they had cameras and sarcastically they said "40 tenemos" (we have 40 cameras) so I asked for them to pull it up only for them to state someone else has to come in. I had to call my brother to come to the store and show his bank statement on his phone. AFTER pulling up the BANK STATEMENT ON HIS PHONE the two ladies started arguing amongst each other because of the mistake. I then asked to speak with the OWNER - also said I can call or come back to speak with the owner and view the 40 cameras they stated were pointing at me and the register. I asked who the owner was just for one of the ladies to they're the boss and there's no one else to speak with regarding the problem.
I understand things happen and she could've simply forgot that SHE LITERALLY RUNG ME UP. but this was completely disrespectful and distasteful- I was genuinely hurt as I too work in customer service as a General Manager and would NEVER attempt to steal let alone BLAME A CUSTOMER FOR STEALING ICE CREAM WHILE HAVING MY RECEIPT IN HAND. BEWARE!!!!! God forbid I would have paid cash.
I walked in and noticed the ladies were very bubbly with customers so I was looking forward to this. Once I come up to the display of ice cream I notice her energy shifted. Regardless - I remained respectful because I respect my elders and was raised right. I have so much more to say and I still want to go view the cameras together. I hope Patrick (the actual co owner as I see on these reviews) reaches out to view the 40 cameras and lack of customer service.

I have to say that there hasn't been an ice cream so in down town yonkers ever. So when lost borough opened i was excited and they did not disappoint. The unique flavors that they have are a amazing. I love the atmosphere and the warm welcome that I receive when I enter. Everyone should come and check them out. Thank you because this is highly needed in the summer but I do eat ice cream all year round and love that it stays open all year round!
