Pizza Beat is a restaurant that has been around for over 40 years, with a change in ownership over the years. A customer who hadn't visited in 35 years was pleasantly surprised by the excellent food during their recent visit. The restaurant employs Roberto, a friendly server. The minestrone soup is made with fresh ingredients and not from a can, and the chicken and eggplant parmigiana entree is delicious with generous portions. The cannoli has a crunchy shell filled with ricotta cream, giving the impression that the shells are filled to order. The large cheese pizza pie is another popular choice, served hot and delicious. The restaurant has a party room, a bar area, and plenty of free parking. It is a great value and highly recommended. The mussels pair really well with the delicious free table garlic bread. The eggplant parm wedge was cooked to perfection and massive for only $10. The kids menu items had excellent portions. The food is good, satisfying, and decently priced, and the service is good and the staff friendly. The latest owner has added improvements, like a bar and a really nice outdoor eating area. The food is fresh and delicious.
