My wife and I went there for the 1st time over the weekend. We are definitely going back! Their staff’s customer service and politeness is unmatched! The food, amazing. We left stuffed. Pricing is what you’d expect… their “sides” are a little pricey BUT definitely worth it. If you don’t try it for breakfast, you’re wrong

The high ratings and reviews set a high bar. The servings were small for the price and it was a bit underwhelming. For the price I would have expected real maple syrup too. The staff was friendly, but had to wait a while because the place is pretty small. Unique experience but might pass next time.

We have lived in Tuckahoe since 2020 and just discovered this gem of a luncheonette/ diner less than a mile from our door! The old school charm is oozing out of every corner and the food is surprisingly refined for what it is and for the price. Cash only!

Stopped in for the first time today while my car was charging out front. Ordered a grilled cheese with Irish cheddar and bacon, with a side of fries. Great, attentive service and great food - can’t ask for more from a local breakfast/lunch spot. Will definitely be back to try out their breakfast options!

As much as I wanted to enjoy a pleasant dining experience at Pondfield Cafe, I left feeling thoroughly disappointed and frustrated. Despite arriving early and patiently waiting for over an hour, the level of service was shockingly poor. My companions and I watched in disbelief as other patrons who arrived after us were promptly seated and served, while we were left waiting without any explanation or acknowledgment from the staff. The lack of communication and attention to our needs was disheartening.Furthermore, when we finally managed to grab the attention of a server, the attitude displayed was indifferent at best. It seemed as though our presence was an inconvenience rather than an opportunity to provide quality service.Unfortunately, the subpar service overshadowed any potential enjoyment we might have had from the food, as the experience left a sour taste in our mouths. It's truly disappointing when a cafe fails to prioritize the basic principles of hospitality and customer satisfaction.

We especially go when the chilaquiles are on the menu, but anything with the tomatillo salsa will be great. Prime hours on the weekend will have a wait, but not too long and worth it. It’s tight inside, so not great for large groups. Cash only.
