My hamburger was terrible. It tasted like cardboard was ground with the beef that didn't taste like beef. The service was good but I will never go back there again. It used to be a good place to eat. Overpriced for the quality. I am local and disappointed that it has deteriorated.

I lived in NY all my life. The Bronx til 12. Yonkers til 36. I have lived in Long Island for the past 8 years. Today, I stepped into Tara's for the first time and for the last time. My dad, who struggles with a walker to get in and out of places, spent 5 minutes getting into the place. Then we waited. 5 minutes nothing, 10 minutes more nothing. 15 minutes we sat and no one came. No one said hello. No one even said welcome. It was like we showed up to the loneliest place on planet Earth. I wonder how this place has survived in business for so long because their lack of customer service is abysmal, to say the least. They are so bad they don't deserve 1 star. My 1 star is a stark warning. You be better dying with cancer because, at least, then you might find someone in the world with a single spread of sympathy! What a dump. Don't waste your time.Parking: Spent money on street parking only to have to leave after waiting for 15 minutes and receiving no service. Read the other reviews they confirm how much of a cesspool this place is!

Food is good. Service is very slow. I tried to open the curtain beside me because it was pitch black In the place. I was only going to open it so I could see the menu then close it again. As soon as I opened it the owner came over and said,"I'm the owner so I'm gonna close this". It's not even that fact that he closed it. It was the way he told me he was going to close it. Should have been nicer. There is also no parking.

This place is okay. I came for a friends b day party to have some food and a drink and the tequila sunrise was very syrupy. This drink is my go to and it can be really hit or miss depending on the place. This one was just super thick. We ordered food and it tasted fine, but the birthday girl's food didn't come out until 35 mins after everyone else's. It was super awkward. So overall I'd say 3 stars

Karaoke every Monday’s night, Trivia every Tuesday, DJ or live music Saturday and Sunday. Cool Irish bar with friendly staff. Our favorite place!

A fun neighborhood bar who serves a yummy espresso martini.
They serve way too many drinks to the customers. I saw 3 men stumbling out of there. Meanwhile, you have children and Elderly people walking around at night!!!Perhaps the owners need a policy of when a person had enough to drink.I guess they are too preoccupied with the Money. They should be reported to The NYS Liquor Authority. This is not McClean Avenue....Megan W
