I visited this establishment to celebrate my birthday. While the food and service were average, my experience took a disappointing turn when it came time to pay the bill. I paid with my credit card and intended to leave a cash tip. However, the server looked at the receipt and questioned me about not writing in a tip on the card, asking directly, “No tip?” I found this to be highly inappropriate and unprofessional.
To make matters worse, after I left the restaurant, the same server followed me outside and demanded that I tip her. I was shocked and deeply uncomfortable with this behavior. Tipping is a courtesy, not a requirement, and this level of pressure was unacceptable.
Unfortunately, due to this experience, I will not be returning or recommending this restaurant.

I've just come for the lunch special, but it's definitely worth the trip for that. Three good-sized maki sushi rolls of your choice and soup or salad for just $15. I haven't tried anything else but the other customers seemed happy. The sweet potato sushi is totally yummy.

I am from the neighborhood and I decided to try this place with my daughter. She said the cucumber sushi rolls and the miso soup were ok. I had the chicken teriyaki and it was horrible . We will not be back . The restaurant is not well kept and kind of depressing.

I’ve always ordered pickup and never sat down to eat. The place looks clean and calm. I love Japanese crispy rice and would only get it when I go to Catch NYC, but this place has it so it’s definitely a plus in my book. Love the rolls foods always fresh.

I always enjoy myself whenever I go to Tomo's. The food is good & the atmosphere is great. They were a little short on staff, however that did not diminish how well the sushi was. Even though we had to wait a little longer than usual, it was well worth the wait. I would always recommend going here for sushi.
This place needs more credit! The sushi is fresh and delicious! They have a variety of options, they are quick, and their prices are reasonable. This is my go-to sushi place!

I used to love this place but the quality is not that good anymore. I ended up with food poisoning the last time I ordered from there. Also the rude delivery guy who tells you how much to tip is annoying and the restaurant charges a delivery fee if they feel that the amount you tipped is not enough.

I ordered food for pick up and my California roll was in the same bag as my hot food which you can get sick if sushi gets hot. My noodles came plain with no sauce or anything on it when I asked for Lo Mein. I also ordered hibachi chicken with brown rice and they gave me red rice and the chicken only had pepper on it. I called the store. The lady kept saying she didn’t understand me. She got someone else on the phone And that person said “ Oh, the sushi should be fine to eat There’s nothing wrong with it I put it at the bottom of the bag” which I tried to explain that was the problem she put the hot food on top of my California roll. She wouldn’t let me talk, She kept cutting me off When I was trying to explain myself. This place is so bad I will never eat from here ever again.
