The service and wait staff was wonderful. They were very attentive and considerate. Our appetizers were great. We had fresh oysters, that were perfectly shucked, and the shrimp dumplings that were sweet and spicy with a nice crunch. My husband had the osso bucco that was very good. Unfortunately, my entree , chicken with Madeira sauce was not as tasty. Our waiter was so apologetic and removed the item from our bill. Our dessert was delicious and very seasonal. A warm Apple cider donut with maple and caramel ice cream. We will definitely go back for a second try!

Outside was not set up but when we asked to sit outside the man who greeted us said he was happy to set it up if we wanted to sit out there. We wound up changing our minds and opted to eat in the bar area which was so cozy and decorated beautifully for fall. Service was amazing and lunch was delicious

Barnwood (Yorktown) is consistently an excellent restaurant. The food is always top-notch. They offer a lot of variety and I always have trouble choosing because I like so many of the options. Service is great, it's also top-notch! The restaurant is cozy and comfortable. One of the best around! Highly recommend.
