“It was so nice to come back to Himalaya after so many years! My first visit was in 2013 when I had just become vegetarian, and I returned again in 2017 as a new vegan. Now, as a 9-year vegan, I was excited to see that they still offer so many delicious vegan-friendly options.

I started with a red sangria, then the Steamed Veg Momos, which were fresh, handmade, and packed with a flavorful mix of vegetables. The Lasooni Gobi was perfectly crispy with a delicious Himalayan sauce.

For entrees, I ordered the Veg Thali, Tadka Dal, and the Veg Korma. The Veg Thali was a wonderful way to sample several classic dishes, the Tadka Dal was comforting and full of aromatic spices, and the Veg Korma was rich, creamy, and made with a dairy-free cashew-based sauce. I also enjoyed the paratha made without butter, which paired perfectly with the curries. It’s the best I’ve had!

Himalaya is a wonderful family-owned restaurant. The food is consistently flavorful, the staff is welcoming, and they do an excellent job accommodating vegan diners.

Whether you’re vegan or simply looking to try authentic Nepali cuisine, I highly recommend stopping by. I’m so glad I came back, and it definitely won’t be another several years before my next visit!”

“I’ve eaten multiple times at Our Kitchen and have always had a great experience - the food, staff, service and atmosphere have always been wonderful. However yesterday was the first time, we utilized (or attended) an event in their private room upstairs and I cannot say enough good things about it. We celebrated my 70th birthday and everything was perfect. The food was delicious (served family style and there was plenty of it!), the food and bar service was great, the room itself was perfect (a very nice room with lots of space for the kids to run around) and Melanie was so easy to work with! I highly recommend Our Place for lunch, dinner and in particular, for your private event!”

I recently ordered Stromboli to bring to a party- everyone loved them and there wasn’t a bite left. Their pizza is excellent as well as their catered food. “The food here is fantastic. It’s your standard deli… but the staff clearly loves what they do. Sandwiches have good amounts of meat/cheese… and the bread is delicious. Breakfast sandwiches are the best in Northern Westchester. The eating area is really more of a take-out waiting room; a little dated on the decor. But quality/value for money… this place is fantastic.”

Wendy's does a good job at being consistent across their restaurants - I usually go for a salad and a baked potato, unique staples of fast food brands nowadays. Seating could be a little more comfortable, but I have found the service (esp. frequent driving through) to be excellent, esp. the requirement that they get my order right. Other Wendy's tend to be a toss-up for accuracy, but in my dozens of visits so far, they have been great.”
