We were there on a Thursday night. They were having computer problems and credit cards were not going through. A minor annoyance, but a quick trip to the ATM took care of that. The live singer was a little unnecessary but he started just as we left so we avoided that.
We love this restaurant but it seemed to be a bit unorganized last night. No one asked us for drinks. My husband was looking forward to his gunpowder martini - but you were out of gunpowder gin (you actually introduced us to that gin) Then it took forever to get his drink with another type of gin, my husband was 3/4 through his appetizer before it arrived and without the olives he requested. Then another in the party had ordered a diet coke, they had already served him but came with another, so he said ok to leave it but we were surprised it was on the bill since we didn't really order a second The food was all great ! We love your frites! Rigatoni with Ragu, veggie burger, steak au poivre & Moules frites , all delicious. It was just a very crazy busy Saturday night and maybe not enough staff
Food and service were excellent! had a great burger and the creme brulee

The restaurant had an energetic vibe. We were seated at a table for four and received water promptly. The restaurant is a bit noisy and dark. I did notice a few people with their phone lights on to read the menu. We all had a bit of a problem seeing the menu. We ordered pre-dinner cocktails that took over 30 minutes to be delivered. We questioned the waiter a few times and he said there was an issue at the bar and the bartender was backed up. He tried to take our orders, but we wanted to wait until we had our cocktails first. I would not say the food was exceptional. It was good. I had one of their burgers and it was delicious, but the bun was very soggy on the bottom. I ended up just eating the burger itself. My girlfriend had the mushroom raviolis which were good. My husband had a steak which he said was very good and my girlfriend's husband had a chicken dish which he did like. In my opinion, the menu is a bit limited. Given the wait we had for our cocktails. I think something small should have been comped, but nothing was said. At the very least I think a manager should have come over to apologize. It was clear that the server was uncomfortable about the situation and the whole problem should not have fallen on him. I am not sure that we would go back.

This is a very good restaurant. The staff is so friendly! The food was delicious and just the right amount. Look forward to going there again.
Cool vibe & host very nice. Would have liked more dinner choices. Enjoyed the eggplant tower for app. Veggie burger was a bit dry & double hamburger was on the small side. Fries were good. Very crowded on a Saturday night at 6. Big bar scene. Glad we didnt order a pricier dinner as a large group came in & noise level was unbearable. Young women were talking so loudly we couldnt wait to leave.
They need to update menu on website. They took stuff off menu but no showing online. The King Louis burger definetly not worth $28 . They changed the fries to the cheap skinny ones. They give martinis in champagne oval glasses . Just a big difference from a few months ago and not in a good way

Food and service were very good. They had live music that was way too loud and we could hardly have a conversation at our table of four. It ruined the evening for us. We expected the a calmer sociable atmosphere like we experienced there in the past.
Always a favorite for me. Super delicious & staff is the best. Tables spaced nicely allowing for easy conversation.we really enjoyed the wonderful singer& adds a special touch!
Pleasantly surprised.
First impressions, great décor and ambience.
Really nice bar and great bar tender, Laura made two very good cocktails and we are fussy with our cocktails.
Met one of the owners, JT at the bar and enjoyed our conversation. Friendly and personable.
Dinner was very good. Service was spot on.
Definitely will return and would have no reservations about recommending Gramercy Tavern to my friends and family.
Finally ; Thank to JT for the Campari cocktail. It was very easy to drink.

Fabulous service. The staff are very attentive and friendly. Our waiter is the best ( I wish I remembered his name). Great food. Everything was delicious. The Pork cutlet special was enough for 3 people.
