Laufer’s has been a go-to date night spot for my wife and I for a while food is top notch! So good that we’ve been there 4 weeks straight for fish tacos during the lent season. Truly a hidden gem with the best food in the area

I've lived in Whitesboro for a few years and had a craving for a fish fry. It's lent, but I haven't been super impressed with the Fish Market so I thought I'd try somewhere new. Google led me to Laufer's. Beer battered AND hush puppies?! How could I not?! Called and ordered and spoke to a younger woman who was super bubbly and friendly (so awesome because people lack people skills these days!) and after deciding on the slaw over the mac, I got a time slot for 4:45pm. My son picked it up. It was hot and ready. It was the biggest fish fry I've ever had (and so delicious), served in a smaller pizza box *the thick kind. I wish I could share a photo on this review.. I will 100% be ordering every Friday until lent is over-- but what a gem. Thank you!

The proprietor of this business chooses to routinely park on the sidewalk when there is plenty of space available in the nearby parking lot, creating an obstacle for local pedestrians. Lazy and selfish.

My family & I moved back to the Utica area about a year & half ago. I wish we had tried Laufers on our very first day. We have had nothing but great food & the most friendly encounters with their family staff! I’m always happy to hear Alyssa’s voice on the other end of the phone when ordering! Their fish fry is ABSOLUTELY to die for! Not only is the breading light and flavorful but the fish itself is so fresh and delicious it could be eaten alone. We can’t wait to order again next weekend, I vow to try their entire menu! Hats off to the Laufer family for creating such great tasting food & such a friendly atmosphere!!

Laufer's Pub in Yorkville, advertises and encourages people to call ahead to "Get those fish fry orders in!" So, I did just that. I called and asked if they still had fish fry's available a little after 5 on a Friday, and the girl who answered said that they did. I then asked to reserve two fish fry's for 6:30. They call me at 6:00 o'clock literally stating "We tried to hold them for you but we had to sell them to a table that just walked in the door." Like what?!? I asked what was the point of calling ahead to reserve then? The girls response was simply repeating they had to sell them to people who "just a walked in". Even after I informed the girl I was about to turn in the parking lot (we were literally at the light when she called. We were running early.) she made absolutely no offer to make it right in ANY WAY. This was absolutely the worst way to treat a customer. To make it that more upsetting, I was taking a 70 year old family member ( who never goes out for a bite and a drink) here as treat for the fish fry! Planned days ahead, she even dressed up for this little night out. This was handled incredibly poorly. This screams poor management, family ran or not. I do not patronize establishments that do not care about their customers. Laufer's Pub in Yorkville does not care about their customers and it shows! It wouldn't had taken much to correct this situation but again, they don't care about their customers at all. Unacceptable. Two thumbs down!

Absolutely poor management. I was there enjoying myself with family and friends as I was accused of urinating all over the bathroom. Zero apologies after they concluded who had urinated all over the bathroom very unacceptable and rude people to treat customers that are there supporting local business this way, along with having false accusations… humiliating .

We had my dads surprise 60th at Laufer's last night and what a perfect night! The food was absolutely amazing, everyone commented on how delicious it was, they made everything go so smoothly. They are all so friendly and accommodating, make you feel right at home! Reservations were so easy and seemed effortless! They took care of everything, to go boxes offered for left over food for our guests, providing utensils/plates and everything else needed! I highly recommend having your next party here, we will be using Laufer's again and again! Thank you guys so very much, we had such a great time!

Walked in, waited 10 minutes (with several open tables and no one but us waiting) after being acknowledged but never seated. Eventually just took our own seats. 10 more minutes without being approached by anyone and we just left for Greek down the road.
