I will be honest, I haven’t eaten there yet but just had the greatest experience that restored my faith in humanity just a little bit. I was in the Akron area for training with TNVC and I assume my iPad was stolen or at the very least lost. Today it pinged at someone’s house and then it pinged in the parking lot of the Basement a few hours after I locked it and left a message for the would be thief.

I called and spoke with Stephanie, and after explaining what had happened she was king enough to walk to the parking lot while I pinged it. The thief had dumped my iPad in the dumpster, thankfully not too deep. I just wanted to say that Stephanie was amazing for being such a good person and helping someone with no expectation of receiving anything in return.

Next time my family and I are in the Akron/waterloo area I will make sure I patronize The Basement if only to help repay a bit of the kindness shown! This is how a neighborhood restaurant does it!

It my birthday today and my server did a beautiful job, very attentive and on top of things. I also got a surprise for my birthday, a free dessert that I've never tried before and it was very delicious after having a few drinks. Definitely coming back. Thank you

I truly cannot say enough about how grateful I am to the basement!! I last minute wanted to throw my son a surprise party, they worked with my time line. They were so accommodating and when I called even more last minute to order off the catering menu, instead of no, I was greeted with a “what can we do to help?” attitude and it was so refreshing.
I got there early to set up, the servers and bartenders were just so AMAZING! They helped with anything I needed.

The biggest shout out in the world to Brandon C. He was an ALL STAR! Beloved by my entire party if 20-30! Kept the drinks flowing, the delicious food coming out (also shout out to the kitchen staff), and most importantly, he even took the time to entertain the kids who were just there to have a great time! (Pics attached)

What a night! Could not have done this without the basement crew! Brandon C., the other servers, the bartenders, kitchen staff, and beyond… thank you!

We were there for a birthday party and Brandon C was our waiter....he is soooo kind and was always around◡̈ thanks for a great night!!

Came here for a bithday party and had a great time!! Our server Brandon C was simply amazing!!! We were a party of 20 and he was so attentive and drinks were always full , food was hot and prompt!! Definitely will be coming back!! Thanks for the great service!!!
