I was sick after eating lunch here. I was curious about what kind of reviews the place has since I am down with stomach issues from eating here. My experience was consistent with others who claim that they were sick after food and margaritas. I had a Lunch fajita and a margarita on a Saturday afternoon. I’m writing this on a Sunday afternoon and I’m still sick. I don’t like writing anything negative about a small business, but something is definitely not right at this place when it comes to cleanliness or food safety.

My first impression was that the place was empty and there was no signage or person to greet us as we arrived. We ended up following a family that looked like they knew where they were going. Everything was covered in a layer of grime giving it a dirty and sticky feel.

The server got my partner's drink order wrong; they served a premium draft beer when he ordered a Mic Ultra and charged us $7 for it. We complained, but they didn't do anything for us.

My steak tacos were very plain and lackluster, and the rice was awful. My partner's chimichanga was great, but the refried beans were awful.

The atmosphere is very nice, but we will never be back.

So third time trying this place and still the absolute worst service ever. We had to ask 5 times for waters. 4 people in our party and it took over an hour to get our food and weren’t busy at all. I don’t get it. Our total bill was $140.00 so not like we were just here for chips and water. Your servers are the absolute worst

Waitress was rude, rest of waitresses on their phone or eating and not paying attention to the very few customers that were there. Food was not that great and cold.. we will definitely not go back..

The worst service restaurant on the lake. We came in by boat was seated at a table right away for dinner the place was not busy plenty of open tables. As we sat there we watched 6 other tables be seated, got their chips/salsa and waters, 3 of the tables even put in their food orders while we sat with no one even looking at us. After 15 min I go to the hostess stand and ask for a server they said oh sorry we will get some one right over. We sat for another 12 min and decided we were done got up handed a server our menus as we walked out telling him no one ever came to our table we were leaving, this was the same server working tables on both sides of us.. rewind to last summer this almost exact situation happened. We went to Danos and had the best service.

Server was fine, atmosphere was nice with the lake out the window. A few flies and gnats buzzing our table. A man was in the bathroom for about 12 minutes and I had to go so I went in and he was washing himself in the sink.

What wasn’t fine was the food. The chips seem to be from a bag, not made fresh. The salsa was ok, queso was pretty good. The waiter talked us into a $12 guacamole plate. It tasted ok but wasn’t smashed at all, it was like someone just dumped the ingredients on a plate.

Two of us had steak and it seemed like it was prepared earlier in the day and heated up for our meals, very dry. The cilantro seemed old and onions also didn’t taste fresh. The hot sauce seemed like it was from a bottle.

Our sodas were warm, flat, and watered down, but that was likely from the melted ice.

We all ate a little bit and then asked for boxes to take our $70 meal home to give to our chickens to eat.

I eat Mexican food nearly everyday from different restaurants and this was, by far, the worst I’ve had in awhile. Maybe it’s ok if you’re coming in from a boat and drunk. We were neither though.

Delicious taco salad, reasonably priced. Soft drinks not over priced. Wonderful atmosphere watching all the boats around. Yummy fried ice cream treated to me for my birthday!!! 🥳 Will be back!!!
