I am extremely frustrated with how this store operates its business hours. I have previously come here during their posted hours of operation, only to find the store closed. Because of that experience, I decided to call ahead this time to confirm they would be open during normal business hours.
During the call, I was told the store would be closing at 4:00pm, 30 minutes earlier because they had only had four customers all day (it was 3:47 PM when I called). The owner then continued to give a long explanation about the hours and his employees agreeing to close early, etc. but at that point I was upset and ended the call.
Shortly after, the owner called me back twice but I did not answer. He then left a voicemail stating they would now remain open until 4:30 PM. By that time, I was already in the checkout line at Hobby Lobby.
I strongly recommend calling ahead before making the trip to this location to avoid wasting your time or better yet, choosing a business that values its customers and consistently honors its posted hours.

If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I don't know why this place refuses to sell people a bag of powered sugar when they admittedly have some in stock. No, there is no backstory, no situation or disagreement occurred, they just literally do not want to sell customers powered sugar. No explanation, nothing. One employee will tell you it's in stock, goes to the back to get it, someone else tells you they don't have any, then the owner says they do but it needs to be bagged, but they don't want to bag it right now.

After being bounced around at 3 other companies, I found the Cake and Candy Depot. Right from the beginning, Frank was extremely helpful. I told him what I wanted, he said he would check and get back to me.
He got back sooner than he said, was able to get better pricing than other companies and ship quicker to Illinois.
WOW is an understatement. I will gladly recommend this business to anyone looking for great service, great chocolate and a friendly company to do business with.
