I don't know what happened to Crave. The 1st time we went in 2022 it was FANTASTIC! I went last year, it was ok. It seemed like they had kitchen/cook issues. We went last night and it wasn't good at all. The drinks were terrible - not balanced at all. The are martini tasted of cheap vodka. However, the drinks here were never that good. My nephew's waffle (chicken & waffles) was burnt, my filet wasn't properly cooked, and the wrap my niece got looked dry and burnt as well. We ordered a side of fries that didn't arrive until we were done with our meal. Same with the drink my husband ordered. The server wasn't great. The food was dry and bland. We WILL NOT be back. Such a shame. This placed used to be packed Friday and Saturday nights. Now it's a ghost town, down to a 2 sided paper menu, with bad drinks & bland, expensive, improperly cooked food
I was very much impressed by the food, and if you see my other reviews around Akron you would know I am quite picky here. I got the seared tuna app and cornflake crusted chicken entrees. They were unique, not what I expected, but still phenomenal. The aesthetic of the restaurant was very unique looking as well being an old bank, and they played great music.

Service is terrible. Can’t speak on the food because we never got to eat, but we waited 20 minutes at our table and a server never came by. The host passed by us 2 times (but refused to make eye contact) and another two servers passed by as well, but no one stopped by our table. For context, there were only two other tables sat in the restaurant (came in on a Tuesday) and we had made a reservation. When we finally walked out, they were all standing at the host stand talking.
If I could rate this a negative star I would. I’m very disappointed with the service at Crave. We made a reservation specifically so we could arrive early and avoid the crowds, but when we walked in, we were seated at a table shoved in the back corner. What made it more frustrating was that most of the tables in the main dining and bar areas were completely empty.
We asked to be moved to a better table, and the hostess said she would speak with management. Even after that, nothing was done for us. No explanation, no attempt to accommodate us, nothing.
Because of the poor service and the lack of effort to address the issue, we decided to leave and take our business to another restaurant. Definitely not the experience we expected, and we won’t be returning.
A can’t miss dining experience in Akron!

Chicken and Waffles. It was heavenly, scrumptious, juicy and hands down the best. Love the intimate atmosphere topped off with Tim's excellent service.

We stopped at Crave in Akron before a show at the Goodyear Theater. We had reseryfor 4:30 pm but didn't really need them since it was not crowded. I was surprised that Downtown Akron was a ghost town but happy that it was easy to get around since it was my first time here and didn't know my way around. Found paid parking on the street and we were seated immediately. Our Server, Derek m, was helpful and attentive. He quickly brought water and our drinks and was patient as we read the menu. We ordered the BLT (bacon lobster and tomato) served on Texas toast. Made fresh and tasty. We both had the chicken rice soup, which was served hot and was thick and hearty. We also got the burger, which was cooked perfect but seemed like a pre-packaged burger patty. Excellent service and good menu options.

Truly disappointing that Crave moved to this location. Their last venue was so awesome and cozy. I couldn't get into this place and the food seems different too.
