We arrived today June 4th ,2025 at 2 ish ! And sat for 10-15 mins with nobody even so much as greeting us saying “ be right with you or anyth !!!!!
But yet a group of 4 ppl sat down 6 ft from us got waited on with menu’s and asked what they wanted to drink”! Then my husband asked the waitress “ hello can we get drinks or waited on ?” She replied back sure give me a min “ there is only two of us !” Bad experience wrong day wrong timing ! Under staffed on a nice day ya think management would know to staff up!!!! Won’t be back !!!!
But if others have same problem u should head over to Upperdeck on the lake nice ppl and have enough workers !!! ( smart ) !

Dano's Lakeside Pub is a nice place to get a bite to eat by Portage Lakes. The food and drinks are pretty good, and there is a lot of outdoor seating available right on the lakefront. There are also docks to pull up your boat right by the restaurant. The food did take a long time to arrive when we went, even when considering that it was crowded.

We’ve been on Portage Lakes since 2020, Dano’s is our favorite place to stop on the water. First off Dano, the owner is probably one of the kindest, coolest people you will ever meet. He always walks around and talks to his customers and treats them like family. He obviously treats his staff very well because they are a reflection of him. The food is fantastic (so glad they brought back the famous Texas toast toasted cheese and tomato soup) the views are amazing, large, easy doc access. The entertainment is very good on the weekends, the vibe and atmosphere are perfect. The only draw back is your not going to want to leave.

We went there on a sunny Saturday afternoon following a morning of yard sale hopping. I had a coney dog and my wife had wings and tots. The food was great and the service was excellent! A great place to sit and watch the lake!
