Dano's Lakeside Pub is a nice place to get a bite to eat by Portage Lakes. The food and drinks are pretty good, and there is a lot of outdoor seating available right on the lakefront. There are also docks to pull up your boat right by the restaurant. The food did take a long time to arrive when we went, even when considering that it was crowded.
We’ve been on Portage Lakes since 2020, Dano’s is our favorite place to stop on the water. First off Dano, the owner is probably one of the kindest, coolest people you will ever meet. He always walks around and talks to his customers and treats them like family. He obviously treats his staff very well because they are a reflection of him. The food is fantastic (so glad they brought back the famous Texas toast toasted cheese and tomato soup) the views are amazing, large, easy...
