Went for lunch with 7 girlfriends. Our server was the best, sorry I didn't get her name. The food was pretty good, I had a patty melt, so did one other person. We both asked for it medium but both were well done, rye bread wasn't really toasted but flavor was still good.

We took our out of town family for an evening out. The restaurant was packed on a weekday night. Our waitress was great however we were very disappointed with the food. Everything (except the baked potato) was overcooked & flavorless. We were extremely disappointed as we hadn’t been there for quite a few years.

First time visit celebrating 52 years of bliss with my wife. Steaks were prepared with excellence, best ever, service was outstanding with Anna and trainee Julia - in every aspect, atmosphere certainly fit the occasion. We will return very soon.

Hannah, my server, Anna who guided me around and brought me extra salad dressing, Lynette the manager who sat and asked about my experience, along with Bryan and Nick who prepared my for were MOST EXCELLENT. I had a dinner salad with superb house dressing and the 22 oz. Long Bone steak, cooked and seasoned to perfection with the asparagus side. Finished off with a coffee. 5 star food, service, atmosphere and staff!!!! *****

Decided to stop on for a quick lunch and stopped at Diamond Grille. The elegance of this place makes one feel like they're dining with the stars but the food is very affordable and the Service form out Hostess/ Cocktail waitress was beyond my expectations.. I highly recommend this place to anyone seeking a get away in a quaint, quiet, elegant diner.
Kelly, our waitress was super informative about the menu, checked on us regularly and was not overbearing. The atmosphere was very relaxed and upscale. The menu is amazing and the drinks are SUPER fresh. It is on the more expensive side, but you get what you pay for. This place is a hidden gem and if you're not hip I'm telling you to check it out an make sure to ask for Kelly she is AMAZING!!!
We have wanted to come here for years after hearing numerous people rave about it. What a wonderful dining experience!! Fork tender filet! Tasty lobster! And the service was excellent! We will definitely be back!

Biggest miss in the area. Entitled servers with improper etiquette makes it challenging to see how this staple of Akron hasn’t updated anything in almost 90 years and is still a hot topic.
If you want to talk about food and quality- you’re better getting a USDA Choice steak from Longhorn rather than the “prime” canton hotel rump roast they’re serving as a filet. Canned Dungenuss crab is spot on but when asked how many ounces are served, it was shocking to hear Jeannie (we will get into her more in a minute) tell us- they don’t know. He just eyeballs it. ? Oh yes, if you order oysters, expect an unwashed shell with sediment you’ll pick out of your teeth the remainder of the dinner.
Ready for the best part of the incredible experience?? (Yes, sit down because I’m not sure anyone has ever experienced this in a fine dining restaurant….)
Our 9oz lobster tail was severely overcooked and rubbery but Jeannie was insistent it was us because they had sold out of them and there were no other “hiccups.” My guess, she thought her 20+ years working here had more credibility than the hat wearing guy who walked in and orders lobster out weekly. ??♂️
Sooo when she asked if it was a miss again (back story- we go to fine dining dinner weekly and strike out almost always and the only reason she had that knowledge- she was shocked my girl ordered a $100+ bottle of champagne and we weren’t celebrating anything.) she proceeded to tell us “Well, looks like you guys need to become better cooks at home.” The guest at the bar even heard this rude and unacceptable comment and when his jaw hit the floor we knew our initial thought and response on this comment was warranted.
Needless to say, eventually, our lobster was comped and our bill was paid. There was a $0 tip (ANOTHER FIRST FOR US) and an ether-soaked rag taste in our mouth. This experience will continue to be talked about in every restaurant and every friend group we have… and word of advice- hire staff that treats everyone like they’re Akron-elitist, not just those with a house account and suit on.

Last minute we got a reservation and decided to try the Diamond when other plans fell through. Wow… drinks were perfect, apps and salad were perfect, food was perfectly cooked. I had a single pork chop ( I’m so glad I didn’t go for the double order) which was the best I’ve had in Ohio. And dessert… my wife had the lemon torte and was fantastic. I had the triple chocolate ice cream w coffee. Thanks Diane for the superb service. It was difficult getting in the car but we managed.
