The food, service, and vibe are outstanding! I got the blackened salmon—delicious! The service was excellent and I love the atmosphere of this place—cozy & relaxing. We need to visit Edgar’s more often!
Great dinner. Service was wonderful - very welcoming and attentive!

I don’t usually post negative reviews, but I think the egregious nature of the billing (plus all the other issues) warrants one in this case.
Let me start by saying that the food itself tasted pretty good and some of the staff members were pleasant (some weren’t). It was also nice to see so many attendees dressed up in their fun costumes since the event was a “Halloween party.” (I’ll explain in a moment why that’s in quotations.) Those were pretty much the only highlights of the evening.
Tickets for the “party” cost $10, which would ordinarily seem quite reasonable. My good friend paid for me, herself, and her husband to attend. Our agreement was that I would buy her first drink as repayment. That comes into play a little bit down the line. When we arrived and presented our tickets, expecting to be seated at a table at the very least, we were told that we needed a reservation to sit at a table and would have to wait for a table to open up. I spotted a couple of empty tables, but whatever. We made our way to the room where the live band was playing, but there were just more occupied tables. No dance floor, no stools, nothing. There wasn’t even room to stand there and listen to the band. This was no party. It was literally just a restaurant serving drinks and food as they normally would have. I still don’t understand the cover charge for just sitting down and ordering food at a restaurant. There was no room to dance or mingle, hence NOT a party.
We waited for quite a long time and just as we were about to leave out of sheer frustration, the hostess notified us that they were going to clean off a table and we could finally be seated. Okay, great. (Note, we drove quite a distance to attend this faux party, which is the reason we were second-guessing whether or not we should just go somewhere else.)
After about 20 or so minutes, the server came over to take our drink orders. I asked him to put my friend’s one beverage on my check, which he agreed. About half an hour later, we received all of our beverages and the server took our food order. I kid you not, it was at least an additional 45 minutes to an hour before we received our food orders. As I mentioned before, the food was tasty. Not spectacular, but good. The bus person was diligent about removing our used dishes, but the server didn’t do much follow-up (ie. refilling the water glasses, etc.).
The final straw was when we received our checks. At the bottom of each check, there was a notation that all parties of six or more would automatically incur a 20% gratuity. Pretty standard so I don’t have an issue with that. The problem is that our party only contained THREE PEOPLE, so why was that charge added to both of our bills?!? That seems like quite a deceptive practice, if you ask me. In addition to that, the server ended up putting ALL of the drinks on my bill, instead of just the one that I asked him to do. Luckily, my friend and her husband aren’t jerks, so they just gave me cash to pay for theirs.
I would have loved to rave about this business, but our experience dictates that a positive review was not deserved in this case. This restaurant needs to review its business practices, in my opinion. I don’t think it’s smart business to dupe your customers into paying for a ticket to attend a party that doesn’t really exist and then pad the bill. Shameful.

Such a wonderful atmosphere!! Our first time discovering this hidden gem for dinner and drinks. The food was fantastic!! The service was top notch. I met the owner/chef tonight as he personally came to out table to welcome us into his restaurant. The band was fantastic and the place was hopping with fun. The service was really good too!! I definitely will be back and highly recommend that you give this place a go!!

Phenominal southern and creole food. We had Catfish, pork ribs, gumbo, frog legs, calamari, shrimp, french dip sandwich, and mac & cheese. As a family, we all pass our food around to let everyone try it. EVERY. SINGLE. THING. WAS. AMAZING!! Truly dishes made by an actual chef, and not just line cooks. Wait staff was friendly and responsive. Cocktails were also delicious. A little higher in the price range (average $25-$35 per dinner + drinks and appetizers), but it's worth every penny and then some. Can't say enough how much I enjoyed this experience.

Excellent flavors. The food is unique and flavorful. We had good service and sat outside with a beautiful view. The smoked fried chicken is so good
I’m a regular at Edgar’s …tried something new .. tried pork sliders… great flavor , good heat, meat very tender ! Will get it again ! You should try it !
Wonderful experience at Edgar's. Wing Wednesday, so we got the tossed wings w/Thai Chile sauce as an appetizer. Crispy outside, tender inside - very nice! My LW ordered a wedge salad and the smoked mac-n-cheese. I opted for the Brisket French Dip with a side of Skillet potatoes. Everything was delicious and the service was excellent. The Chef even stopped by our table and we had a great conversation with him. Can't wait to go back!

I visited last weekend for the first time. Our server Dezzy was great! But the food was overpriced for the quality. They were out of a lot of menu items so I settled on the jerk wings , which were a little burnt. The mac and cheese wasn’t that great either. The side car martini was okay.
Ordered one cocktail for dine in and a Togo order. 20% gratuity was added to my entire check. Not sure if this is standard for this establishment, but I’ve never been charged gratuity for a party of 1, let alone on a togo order. Not to mention they forgot to put bbq on my wings. Disappointed.
My first time there was cool. A lot of menu items were missing. We ordered the liver and smoked chicken. The liver was great! The smoked chicken was dry and reheated too long. Older gentleman was awesome as our server. The next time I came was tonight. I ordered liver and the Seafood gumbo. My liver was great again. The gumbo was pure-tee garbage. No flavor, watery and bland. It did not have a seafood flavor. Tonight the young woman at the front greeting customers was rude for no reason at all. I probably won't be back.
I had the stuffed catfish and my partner had the king prime rib. Both meals were delicious! But you cannot beat the herb and olive oil dip and break. The bar staff were very attentive, and hostesses are sweet. Great vibes in the music!
Very good both service and food. Being a BBQ place wish there were more BBQ selections. They were smoking something outside and it smelled great.
