Hamad's is a small, counter service, deli style eatery on Main St. in downtown Akron. It caters to the Mon-Fri, daytime working crowd with some good soup, salad and sandwich options plus cookies and drinks. I ordered a Chopped Wedge Salad and it was very fresh tasting and a good portion size. The House Club Wrap also looked good. There is a small sitting area that faces Main St and some larger tables in a lobby area. Service was friendly. But for a downtown restaurant with a prominent sign on Main St, the experience of eating here is disappointing due to the limited hours and the lack of ambiance. And the classic rock music was playing a bit too loud, making me not want to linger over lunch.

I came here for lunch, hoping to find a pastrami sandwich. They stopped carrying it since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. So this was a bit disappointing. I didn't like the pulled pork sandwich. The toast is perfectly crispy, but the pulled pork is fatty and super sweet. It was like eating a dessert. Without the pastrami, it's just another sandwich place.

I only discovered this in the middle of Akron on A. Main St. because a co-worker knew of it. I went with him and got a wrao, cottage cheese and two chocolate chip cookies. It was so good! I am going back! Be advised you may want to call in advance because they do not have enough employees to run it for every day.
The BEST BLT I've had anywhere, and will stop in again the next time I'm in Akron! I never had a chance to take a photo, it was that delicious!

I had a work meeting which we decided to get drinks at Hamad’s on Main. I asked if my hot chocolate could be made with milk and they were happy to accommodate my special request. It was delicious! We will be back to try their breakfast and lunch items.
