First time here and I cant wait to go back! Before I talk about the food, I have to give a big shout out to our servers Amanda and Anna. They were a lot of fun and very accomadating. Amanda has been there for eight years and Anna is training She was a real trooper with our attempts to razzle her. Now for the food. Almost every month they have lobster fest featuring unique lobster dishes. This morning they had posted one of these dishes being fried lobster tail. I have never heard of lobster being fried and knew I had to have this. It was beyond my expectations, absolutely amazing! I expect a small tail but this was far from small. I can polish off lobster tails but in this case I needed a to go box! They also have the best white french dressing I’ve ever had and I’ve tried many. I ordered lobster bisque to go for Scott. Not only did he say it was the absolte est ever (huge compliment because everything is usually just alright to him which is interpreted as good) he was also taken back by how much lobster was in it. Very comfortable, nice restaurant with fantastic servers and outstanding food…which means the chef is a rock star! The building is deceiving from the outside but I assure you when you get inside you will be wowed!

Haven't been in the Ido for years! I kinda forget about it. I sure have been missing out. My Mom and I were heading to another place, and it was closed. I knew we were just around the corner, I was like how about the IDO. She was Like I haven't been there in years! We started off with the sauerkraut balls. They were AMAZING! My mom ordered the Will's steak sandwich, and I ordered Kevbo's bacon cheeseburger. We both ordered onion rings! Every thing tasted great! We will be putting the IDO into our dining plans!

I love Ido but there is an issue with raising prices that are getting higher and higher yet the food quality changes. The short ribs were taken off the menu and in it's place they put Beef chuck roast for the same price as the short ribs but they are not the same quality. The chuck roast was extremely dry and chewy the last time I had it. The short ribs were always cooked to perfection and just fell apart. I had the lobster ravioli last night and the price on the menu in the restaurant went up I believe it was $39.99 and just a note the online menu still says $34.99 so those don't match. Even if they raised the price OK but two of us ordered it. There used to be a big piece of lobster tail across the ravioli along with the chunks of lobster and there was not anymore chucks than usual in the sauce but raising the price and reducing the lobster for me is going to be a no go moving forward. Another item where the online menu does not match the menu in the restaurant is the Friday Wheatly martini special in the restaurant it is no longer on the menu and online on the daily special menu it is still there. The service is always spot on unless they are overwhelmed with patrons and not enough servers but in those cases we are always patient as you can see everyone is working extremely hard. I want to keep going here I just hope the prices don't keep going beyond what is affordable and at least if you raise prices make sure the quality is the same. Also if you go to the hostess stand and stand there the one hostess just looks at you, leaves and wanders around. I usually have to say can we get on the list. If she has to leave to go do something else at least say I will be right back or if you are standing there say how many in your party and name don't just stand there and look at the person like you already helped them it is awkward.

Denied service to a desert storm veteran because he had a SERVICE dog.
Shame on the Ido! We've gone to the Ido for years but tonight we were refused service because my husband has a service dog. We were told they don't allow service animals. This ridiculous and shameful. Also it's illegal to deny entrance to a service animal. Hate to say goodbye to what my family considered a great local restaurant but the restaurant made a foolish decision that I can't stand behind!

The service was pretty lousy. Took forever to get waited on, and to get our check when we were finished eating. My chicken sandwich: the bun was soggy, the chicken was tough. My boyfriend asked our server to get me another sandwich. Same tough chicken in a new bun which was still soggy. My boyfriend’s sandwich was just mediocre. Way overpriced for the quality of food. Used to be a really good, reasonably priced restaurant. What happened!?! Won’t be back.
