We needed a quick lunch. so we ordered the lunch special. I had shrimp and my wife had chicken. Big portions and very tasty. The lunch leftovers became our dinner. Best Chinese food in Akron. I've been enjoying their food for 25 years.
Food was great I got the Singapore mei fun and the shrimp was not over-cooked here which is a pleasant surprise. My husband also got the orange chicken which was really good and he said he liked the egg roll a lot as well. The crab Rangoon were ok, not a lot of filling and not on the sweet side like I prefer. Steamed dumplings were not my favorite they were doughy like steamed and noodle was quite thick.This place was takeout only and has a drive thru.
I tried Imperial Wok once about 4 years ago when I moved to the area and wasn't impressed. When my favorite more upscale Chinese place closed, I decided to give it another try. I found I had been paying way too much for great Asian food. I've been back to Imperial Wok twice in the last week. Good portions, tender meat, perfect vegetables, great flavor, friendly service, and solid food safety inspections. I particularly like their hot & sour soup, and curry chicken...
