I come to Irie Jamaican Kitchen once a week, and it’s always a solid choice for a Jamaican food fix. While there are more authentic spots in Cleveland, this place has become a staple in Akron.
The flavors are consistently good, and the portions are satisfying. Highly recommended for everyone. Very clean and tasteful interior design.
It was a little curious walking in because I didn’t really know what Jamaican food was. The staff was very helpful, making recommendations and letting me try things. It turned out that everything was delicious and it was a hard choice just to pick one thing! I have had plantains before, but never like this. The jerk chicken was a little spicy, and the savory chicken was well, savory. It was a weeknight and not terribly busy so I got a little extra time interacting the staff, which I really enjoyed. Kita was so friendly and helpful. The prices were very reasonable as well, I will definitely be back!

Me and my wife and youngest daughter enjoyed it very much my 10 yr old son not so much he went in expecting it to be more spicy but all in all 10/10. im happy I finally found another good cultural restaurant. It’s obviously a family owned business and couldn’t be more welcoming

This place is ridiculously good! The lady who helped us was super friendly and the food was all perfect. I tried quite a few things and wanted more, but I was too full. We will definitely be back and I would highly recommend eating here!

Ordered food via Uber Eats, my receipt showed everything I ordered, but they put in barely half the items, when I called, they were not interested and told me to talk to Uber. Buddy, you have my order, you stapled it to the bag - ever heard of checking a customers order? Only in Akron...The food that arrived was tasteless.
