I love this place! You're in for a treat - & it's a great deal when you look at price, flavor and servings, too?

This used to be my favorite meal in Akron. It was the first place my friend and I tried when we first came to Akron. It was some of the best food I’d ever had. We visited at least 3-4 times a month, with many others coming along. Fast forward to new owners taking over, I was so disappointed. The quality of the food went down, they changed the options of the bowls, forcing rice onto you if you wanted a larger bowl, and the prices skyrocketed. I haven’t been back since and neither has anyone else I know.

I’m over here reading the reviews and I’m so floored. How did this place get 4.1 rating. Portion was weak. Good wasn’t that great at all. Authentic Jamaican food where? Need to go back to drawing board on this one. This place was pricey for what? I been to Jamaica and have ate Jamaican food in NYC and Philly. This isn’t it at all..

Me and a Few people used to come here weekly. They changed the portions and Mac and cheese bowl. Very low portions for a high price! At least 8-9 of us came in twice a month if not more. I won’t be going here anymore until they fix portion sizes all of my friends have said the same thing no way it cost 50 dollars for 2 Mac and cheese bowls and a small scoop of meat. It’s a shame I used to love this place!

I used to love coming to this place, but the rice and beans were not cooked throughly last time we were here. Also, I think the staff was a little tired bc they didn't even restock the cabbage. My boyfriend and I each got cabbage, but you can tell it's been sitting there for an hour. Still love the plantains and the jamacian jerk chicken.

Got the food on Dasher that part was great, the meal I got was jerk chicken box w/yummy cabbage with no carrots? and 2 1/2 thick n chewy plantain and regular tasting rice n peas. Really basic, Right away you can taste old chicken, from the plan taste ?to the old meat mixed with new meat flavor ,(almost folded me) u can tell this cause they have diff flavor on the meat when u eat it by itself. I also got a side of stewed chicken that was warm and tasted basic not like any authentic IRIE GRILLED TASTE OR STEWED Taste at all! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. This spot for authentic IRIE ?I HAD TO EAT IT ALL CAUSE I DIDN'T WANT TO WAIST 25$

Overpriced, makes you pay a dollar for each additional topping/ingredient that used to be free. Then refused to give me a cup for water because "people abuse the privilege." Will not be wasting my money here

Local chain. Kudos for providing an alternative and compete with chipotle next door, food quality is very good. A lot of seating. Good vibe, price is comparable to chipotle. Also the actual food looks a lot like the pictures on the menu, very appealing. Bathrooms are locked by default, you can ask for the key.Parking: Parking in the back.

One of many resturant options in this neighborhood. The place has plenty of seating. Free parking in the back of the restaurant. Just go up to the counter and place your order and they make your custom order as you go. Decided to go with the chicken jerk bowl and an irie aide which is there name for lemonade.

My family's new favorite restaurant! Great flavor! Tender chicken! Perfect plantains! Friendly, helpful service! Fun atmosphere and music! Sunshine on a cloudy day! Thank you!Dietary restrictions: My husband is GF and was able to eat all main dishes except Mac n cheese and pasta of course. The staff checked beforehand.

First time coming here, and will honestly be the last time. The staff was nice and polite. The decor was cute. Even the food didn't taste bad... However the portion size compared to the price is outrageous. I spent over $40 for a pasta bowl, mac n' cheese bowl with two rum cakes and drinks. Nevermind the fact that any and every topping is a dollar upcharge. I could have gone to an all-you-can-eat buffet for less. I don't know who can afford eating here in this economy but if you can, then it's worth the try. If not, I'd recommend going to Chipotle next door. ?
