High-end fine dining or vibrant lounge? Why not both? This local staple never fails to disappoint. From tuxedo-clad servers to a trifecta of bartenders the service is impeccable. You can watch your steaks being prepared on the open grill. We had salmon (HUGE portion) and Scampi the size of small lobster tails. Accompanied by au gratin potatoes (enough to share with the table). See photo. Light music in the lounge on the weekends.

Our server, Joe was excellent! The food and wine were delicious! This is a great spot for a special occasion!

Looked really forward to spending my birthday at Lanning's, however the service wasn't good. We had to wait for everything. Kept having to remind the waiter that it was my birthday do I could get a dessert. I expect more for a $150 00 lunch.

My husband and I had a great experience. Our waiter and waitress was amazing. The were very professional. The food was great!!. One of the owners even came over to the table to check on us and tell us happy anniversary. We will be going back when they have live music on the weekends.

We had a relaxed and enjoyable evening at Dean Martin's Lanning's. The atmosphere is lively, with a nice mix of elegantly dressed younger diners. The prices are pretty steep, but the food was quite good and the quantities ample. Service was very attentive.

Our food was delicious!! There is not much on the starters menu if you aren't a seafood lover, but my filet was amazing and the service was great!

Probably the most plush high end fine dining spot in Akron with waiters in tuxedos, white tablecloths, and a luxurious dining area on one side of the restaurant overlooking Yellow Creek. The house specialty Manhattan and Aperol Spritz were nice generous pours ... although I had to pay extra for a large single ice cube (really?). Rolls served at room temperature by a server. The sea bass was excellent but the tuna, although a nice size portion was barely seared. Sides are extra. The au gratin potatoes are a house specialty but I wish the spinach sauce was a bit thicker. When you pay $200 for dinner, which probably was on the low end, the expectations are higher. It's a great place to impress a date, client, or friends if you wish to pay for the experience.

Hidden gem! Food was phenomenal. Cocktails are superb. Waiters are professional. Overall would recommend it highly and will definitely be visiting again.

I truly cannot say enough good things about this restaurant. From the moment you arrive, the valet service sets the tone—warm, accommodating, and thoughtful. When we left, they had even brushed all the snow off our car before we got in, a small gesture that speaks volumes about their attention to detail. Walking through the doors feels like stepping back into the Dean Martin era—elegant, jazzy, and effortlessly wonderful. The atmosphere alone is an experience. Add to that the breathtaking views of the river, and you immediately know this is somewhere special. The staff is beyond attentive, anticipating needs without being intrusive, and making the entire evening feel seamless. The food was absolutely outstanding. The sea bass was perfectly prepared, incredibly flavorful, and paired with a sauce drizzled on the plate that made it truly divine. The filets lived up to every expectation—exceptionally tender, rich in flavor, and cooked to absolute perfection. What truly elevates this restaurant from great to exceptional is the ownership. Seeing the owners on-site, working alongside their staff, creates a sense of pride and unity that is unmistakable. The staff carries themselves with confidence and care, clearly invested in the experience they provide, which speaks volumes about the leadership, work ethic, and culture behind the scenes. This is more than a meal—it’s a memorable experience, and one we will absolutely return for.

First time i visisted they threw my steak sway instead of boxing it up. Mind you i had two bites. Second attempt at visiting there was a snow emergeny issues by the county and state. Called to cancel, they did not care and still charged my card. For this to be fine dining, Ive had nothing but terrible experiences.

This was our first visit and we enjoyed the great drinks, wonderful food and excellent service. We started with the following appetizers for our group of four: Escargot, Wagyu Pastrami, Oysters Rockefeller, Lobster Bisque and Wedge Salad. For entrees we tried the Fire Roasted Ribeye, Australian Wagyu Delmonico, NY Strip and Vegan Wellington. The steaks had excellent flavor - especially the Delmonico (one of the best steaks I have every had) and Strip (the Fire Roasted Ribeye presentation was very cool, but I liked the flavor of the other steaks more). We also had the Creamed Spinach and Au Gratin Potatoes as sides - both very flavorful.

Our server, Stephanie L., was excellent - very attentive, offered nice recommendations and took great care of us throughout the evening.

Worst dinner experience I have ever had. Talk about disappointment when we were celebrating three birthdays! I actually thought we were on some camera being tested for how we would react. They were out of the walleye and had three specials left. When the meals came one had to be sent back twice and we told them to forget it as everyone else had their way overpriced meal. That was only part of it. They knew we had a food allergy and after finding one thing they could order it came out containing the very ingredient they were severely allergic too. It was caught by chance or could have been a lot worse. To top it
off the y did not even care and at those prices it was awful. It turned our happy celebration into a very sad night. We felt bad for those who ended up with no meal and the person who recommended this restaurant felt even worse. Then, the bill arrived which we will never stop talking about and not in a good way. I just saw your commercial and it brought back all these memories that i had to write this review which I never do. Lastly, it was empty so cannot understand any of this.

Service! Service! Service! Wow. From the moment we walked in, you knew you were in for a special evening. We really felt taken care of in every aspect. Food was very good and it's a stunning restaurant. The remodel was done beautifully. But the service is what will make us come back

All the food was fantastic. everyone was so friendly and we had great service from Joe and Luke
