Used to go here all the time time, food was real good and one of the only places with collard greens. I didn't know they closed till I showed up one day and Noone was there. Seriously what happened to this place, why'd they close?

We ordered tonight and food was AMAZING! Chicken was great, as well as the sides. The portions are incredible! We give it a 10 star rating. Thank you

Visited 21MAY2022 - Is it bad that the sides were better than the chicken, particularly when the name of the restaurant is called Louisiana Famous Chicken and the sides were average at best? I ordered the 3-piece combo, plus an extra side. The cashier was cordial. Another worker seemed bothered. A third worker was more interested in dealing with his car trouble which seemed to be what was bothering the other worker. The dine-in area wasn't very welcoming so I took my order to go.The chicken was a bit overcooked and may have been sitting under the warmer too long. I didn't taste much seasoning either. I was impressed with the size of the chicken pieces but I expected better flavoring other than from the hot sauce packets that came with my other. The collard greens were OK. I couldn't quite determine the seasoning other than black pepper, but I tasted something else there. I've had collard greens at various restaurants across the US. These collard greens were average. My other side dish was red beans & rice. The most prominent flavor I tasted was salt. Not much effort seemed to go into this side dish.I was visiting the area from another state and probably won't be visiting the area anytime soon. If I do visit the area I won't be returning.

Their food is delicious!!! The chicken breading has a bit of a “kick” to it which I like (the heat.) I really like the collard greens, and usually I’ll “jazz up” the mashed potatoes and Mac and cheese, but it’s very good!!! Because of all this I’m giving them 5 stars, but I dislike that they generally close down around 8 pm (which is what it says online) but so many times I call in between 6 & 7:15 and they answer the phone only to say they’re closed which is frustrating. If they are consistently running out of food, or whatever the issue is needing them to close early they need to address it by either order more stock items, or update the hours on the website.

The food was ok. I enjoyed the fried chicken. The problem was the young man at the front counter was not welcoming and zombie like in his demeanor. I haven't been back, even though the rest of the staff seemed friendlier.

Chicken was pretty good. Service was absolutely abysmal. Their website has a total of 3 different sets of operating hours as pictured below. If you guessed that none of them are correct - you're a winner! Called in for a curbside order at 10:55am as indicated online as available. Was told that they don't do that anymore and to just come in to pick up my order. Was told between 12-15min before it's ready. Great, not too long! I arrive 15min later, and the sign up front says closed, and their in-window sign shows opening times of 11am. Confused, I wait another couple minutes for someone to unlock the door and turn the sign to open. Being I'm close to 20min since ordering, I head inside and said I'm picking up an order. "Well, we just opened to you're gonna have to wait. I don't even know how you were able to place that uber order", the cashier said. I came back and said, "well I called my order in, not uber. And your hours online say you open at 10am", while showing her the menu below directly from the website with hours listed. In an extremely condescending tone, I was told that was an old menu and the hours were listed outside. When asked about calling in at 10:55 and given a 15min wait, I was ignored. When my food was finally ready at 11:30, found that I ordered and was charged for a 6-piece chicken tenders and only received a 4-piece. Side note they make you give your credit card number over the phone to order- so no way to dispute any issues cause they have your money already, and very possible that someone is recording these numbers. I'll be watching my back account closely.

We used to eat here quite often, but then Covid. Stopped in last week and we was the only 2 customers in there and took her 20 minutes to even ask what we wanted to drink. Another 15 minutes to get the drinks. 45 minutes to get our food. Which by the way was awesome. But just very poor service.

The fish and chicken is cooked well and on the spicy side but great taste. FYI I would suggest you puncture your containers so that the fish and chicken doesn’t get soggy by the time you get home.

First time around we ordered by mistake, (happy fingers is all I can say) and the food was great. Second time we were missing several things from our order and the chicken was old, not fresh with no taste and our corn muffins were hard. Not worth the price.

It didn’t look clean and smelled like an old. dirty mop. Walked out.

Best chicken ever, in fact all the food was delicious. Hot, fresh and great spices. The staff are friendly and I will definitely be going back when I'm in the area. A must try for everyone.

The chicken wings were so big. They had a burnt taste and were, not done!! The mashed potatoes were so salty,I couldn't eat them. The coleslaw was just store bought in a bag,and had no taste. This is not best soul food in Akron!! I will never visit again!! A total waste of money!!!
