This was my first time at this restaurant. My family and I went here before seeing a performance at EJ Thomas Hall. The service was great, but the food was questionable.
I ordered a fried shrimp meal. It came with cole slaw and I changed the fries to mac and cheese. The cole slaw and mac and cheese was really good. The shrimp. Not so much. The breading reminded me of a funnel cake. The shrimp was cooked too long, so it was chewy. It was an ok dinner.
My husband and son had a burger and a chicken Philly. They enjoyed those sandwiches, but my son ordered a medium rare burger and it came out almost well done. My sister ordered a loaded burger with onions and mushrooms and a basket of onion rings. When she got the burger, there were no mushrooms and hardly any onions. She did send it back to get more toppings. The burger was better when she got it back.
What really amazed us about my sister ordering the basket of onion ring is when she got her burger, there were only 5 onion rings on her plate. Only 5. So, 5 onion rings, not in a basket, for $6! Mind you, there were not a lot of people in the restaurant, so there was no excuse of being too busy to make a dinner good.
One nice thing was our server. She was very nice and did the best she could to make everything better.
Overall, the restaurant was ok. We will not go back.

Food is overrated. Wings are probably smoked once a month then frozen for storage and dropped in a deep fryer with everything else they fry up which completely destroys the smoke flavor. Burgers are a nice size but bland bacon was cooked perfectly. Alligator bites are trash with the sauce. Veggies are fresh though.

I've heard great thing about Main Street Saloon, but growing up in Firestone Park, I always assumed it was a bar, not a restaurant. Tonight we ordered delivery for our family for an early dinner.
Not sure if something changed or I was always misinformed, but I'm kinda sad that I've missed out on all this goodness for so many years. Burgers are massive and delicious. Specialty egg rolls are on point. Side salads were full of FRESH lettuce, multiple big pieces of tomato and cucumber and onion, plus cheese, bacon, and really good croutons. White french dressing 10/10 - love the chunks of onion.
Now I know why this place has been around so long. We plan on stopping by in person soon!

I went in there two separate occasions and both times was condescending in passive-aggressive I don't like when people try to tell me the price of something that I asked to purchase as if I am completely ignorant to the fact that it's an expensive purchase to tell me the price as if I don't have the money to cover it when I'm asking you for said item is very much racist cuz I'm pretty sure you don't tell white people the price when they want to buy something and just because I'm not some tall athletic ball player or rapper or drug dealer type that has a certain aesthetic that looks like he has money don't assume that I can't afford it and don't assume that I won't tip cuz that was the energy that I got from the bartender I also don't like the fact that the female bartender went out of their way to make sure that the female patrons had whatever they needed but didn't ask me if I needed another drink didn't ask me if I wanted food nothing just rude I'm only giving them two stars because of their liquor selections other than that im not looking to come back

Order online from their site not grubhub etc, up notice the food is almost 2x the cost on grubhub. Anyway great food, good smoked food, homemade saurkraut balls, awesome caramel cake desert and I think homemade ice cream! Honestly everything is good, but start with those.
But great neighborhood bar/restaurant that caters to people that identify with 2 wheels

I'm really only placing this here for the fried shrimp. It's absolutely too much batter on it. The middle was doughy. I think it would be best with mostly flour and maybe egg to hold it instead of milk. I don't know if that's why they were super doughy though.
