This was my first time getting pizza here.I heard so much great things about this place, but that was years ago unfortunately, there were unable to accommodate to the sheet pizza and instead gave me four medium pizzas that was supposed to be equivalent to the sheet pizza so I asked for two pepperonis one cheese and one veggie. The timing was awesome. She said 25 minutes. It was done when I arrive there. the first piece pizza that I tried was a veggie pizza immediately upset my stomach. It was also very bland had no taste to it whatsoever. I think the pizza could’ve stood to be cooked a little bit longer, but I do like a well done pizza so that’s my fault for not asking for the pizza to be well done I’ll take accountability for that but the flavors are not hitting on this pizza. like I said many years ago almost about a decade when I heard this place had great reviews now in a year 2025 not so great. I will not be getting anything else from here unless one of those drunken nights.

I ordered the pizza and garlic bread and hour before I needed the order. When I got there, the order was to be done, and they still hadn't finished the garlic bread and the pizza had been sitting on top of the oven for 15-20 min already.

Over the past several years of living in Akron, I've tried almost every independent pizza place in Greater Akron. My overall on this is a 3 out of 5 Stars or a 5.4 out of 10.
Neapolitan Style Pizza, with a thin crust, raised edges, good amount of both sauce and cheese.
Not my style of pie.
That said, the crust was soft and supple. Easy to eat. A turn-off though, as the combination of extremely soft crust with no crispiness, the flop in the slice and the cheese sliding off, gave the pizza an overall doughy experience that was neither appealing or appetizing.
The sauce, seems great at first. It's savory, not sweet. A plus for my preference. The sauce, had an overpowering roasted onion flavor, that should be more subtle. After 20 minutes and sudden heavy thirst, you realize it is over salted, contributing to the heavy onion flavor.
The cheese appears to be a delicious blend of mozzarella and provolone. That was the best part. Though as gooey and delicious as the cheese was, the salt content of the cheese, did not help with the overall salt content of the pizza sauce, being over salted.
The pizza, needed to be made well done. Allowing for the pizza to maintain that soft Neapolitan crust, adding a crisp, thus giving it a more appealing texture. The salt content needed to be cut in half. Tge roasted Onion in the sauce needed to be cut in half.
The use of Vegetable Oil, aka Soybean Oil is an insult, to where Olive Oil would make the flavor of the dough and sauce, go off the chart.
I gave a 2 on Customer Service, because the lady who answered the phone was rude. In addition, due to no availability of a sheet pizza on short notice and instead of accepting a small loss due to their error, Mama Rosa's needed to correct the issue with DoorDash and still provide sufficient pizza for my family needs. Instead, the lady's solution was to limit and give us 25% less food, then we needed, leaving the whole family still hungry and in need of ordering from a secondary place, doubling our costs for the night.

Mama Rosa's food is always good ,the chicken and JoJo's are very tasty. I've been eating at this place for years. I as a valuable long time customer if like to see the business get a pain job inside and outside to me and I'm sure many people will agree that the the whole place needs in and out it just does not look appealing anymore and PLEASE get the parking lot resurface as soon as I pull in your parking lot I feel like I'm off riding,all the potholes,and uneven surfaces makes the whole car bounce up and down seriously. And thank you for listening and maintaining good quality food and sorry for leaving you one star but you had at least 20! years to fix the parking lot, and give it a pain job that's my honest review.
If you ever visit this place visit it between the hours of 7:30 and 10:00 pm the lady was very sweet and kind to my son he bragged about her he walked home with her food which is about a 6 minute walk the food was very hot flavorful and fresh. To the people who are doubtful trust me it was great we couldn't believe it for the price

We get delivery several times a week...chicken dinners, wings, sandwiches, pizza just about everything! I have friends that don't have a Mama Rosa's near them, so when they visit, we definitely order! Meatball subs are the absolute best! The fried chicken reminds me of home, enjoying my mom's fabulous fried chicken! The prices are very reasonable n their delivery people are so courteous, respectful and very personable. I wouldn't change anything! Thank you Mama Rosa's!

I attempted to order over the phone just now. I've never been here or had their pizza. The lady who answered the phone was one of the rudest people I have came across. I work.in customer service and that is not who you want to be answering your phone and speaking with your customers. If I was her manager I would fire her on the spot. I hung up after telling her how rude she was. I have been told the pizza here is great, but I will never know. I refuse to place an order and pay money to somewhere that treats me that way.
