Marques Restaurant wonderful experience. We had the chicken strips with candied yams and mashed potatoes. The chicken strips were excellent the breading was flavorful and crispy. Enjoyed the whole meal. Not to mention the services was super friendly the whole experience was great. We will definitely eat here again when we are back in the area. So close to the Goodyear theater. We had dinner and then went to see a show. We made reservations since there was a show that night at the theater.

Place is set up nice and the location is fine. I had the shrimp and grits and it wasn't appetizing at all. The shrimp weren't sauteed, seems more like warm cocktail shrimp thrown on a bed of cheesy grits. And the grits wasn't good either. Maybe another entree another day but today wasn't it.

Nice place! Our waitress was really sweet. The chicken and greens were the best part of my meal 10/10, I was excited for the mac and cornbread sadly they were both pretty bad, While the mac had good flavor it was soggy, corn bread was very stale w no sweet flavor at all.

Each vist I've made is not disappointing. The food is delicious, the restaurant is clean and the atmosphere is always welcoming and friendly. The menu has an array of choices along with generous portions.

My friends and I came in from out of town to go to this recommended restaurant. We show up it says reservations only on a Saturday afternoon where no one is as hardly even dining. Then we were told at 5pm we couldn’t make a reservations that reservations were closed. And the waitress was kind of rude. Not a good experience.

Wow, what a gem in the heart of Akron! As we continue to travel the world finding some deep south inspired comfort food is always welcome. There is fried chicken and then there is amazing fried chicken like Marques. Their take on blue cheese cole slaw was inspired and let's just say red beans and rice this far north and this good might be illegal. The whisky selection was expansive and i had my 1st ever Heaven Hill here. Bon appetite!

This was my first time trying Marques food. I mean my goodness the food was extraordinary and heavenly I will definitely be back here. I had the Fried Chicken, Macaroni and Cheese with Green Beans. I kid you not my food was gone before my eyes.
