The homemade hemp burger on a homemade bun was perfection! Mac & Cheese and fresh cut fries were the perfect sides. Chocolatey Brownies were moist and rich. The donuts were good, too—and cake-like and dense. So appreciate an all-vegan menu! Yum. Lots of choices, many to take away. The screened front door is a nice touch. Friendly staff!
Very delicious comfort food! I love that there are so many gluten-free options. My favorites were the donut holes, pancakes, fried mushrooms, mac n cheese balls, and the potato salad. The only thing that could make the menu better would be to have some fresh, healthier options to contrast all the fried food.
Stopped in for lunch and got four different things to try. All were excellent. The spelt bread is very tasty albeit on the dry side, which makes it somewhat crumbly. The fillings though, were outstanding! We also got the biscuits sausage and Gravy and enjoyed its pepperiness. All in all very nice stop.
They have an excellent selection of Celiac -friendly, gluten-free dishes, including delicious donuts! It was a relief to order from their menu and to not worry about cross-contamination. The majority of the menu, is in fact, gluten-free, and it's all vegan. The staff was excellent. I loved the lemon-cucumber water and the toys for the kids. Thank you!!!
Food is flavorful and does not taste like fast food vegan. It was made to order which is a huge plus. The hibiscus lemonade is very good and refreshing. Awesome staff who actually knew the menu and what went into each item.
The ladies here were super nice and the food was amazing. I love seeing more vegan options
Love their donuts, and I'm neither vegan or need to be overly concerned about gluten. Large variety of unique flavors as well. Looking forward to trying some other stuff on their menu. Highly recommended.
Ms. Julie's often uses organic ingredients, grows some of their own food, and has many gluten free options. I highly recommend.
Always the best fried food around!! Get the oyster mushrooms. You won't regret it.
GUYS… I found a real gem!! Ms Julie’s Kitchen was the absolute best. I fell in love when I walked in and saw the play area for toddlers. Then I walked to the menu and saw that not only was the entire menu vegan, but they offered oil-free options !!! Such tasty food and great service. We can’t wait to visit again.
Restaurantji Recommends
I've never been a to vegan restaurants, so I came here and looked at the menu and asked the cashier for suggestions. They were real friendly and recommend the mushroom melt. So, I ordered it with a side of fries. The mushroom melt lives up to its name; the bread was a nice balance between crunchy and moist, the mushroom melt toppings added a layer of creamy flavor; The patty was rich and bold in texture. Quite delicious. They even put a cup a of ketchup in the bag for the fries and my name on the bag. Overall, it was the best sandwich I had all year. Will come again.
4 years ago on a trip to Ohio from Australia I found this place by accident when my hire car broke down, I went in here for lunch and was not disappointed the food was amazing. 4 years on and I still think about this place with its amazing Doughnuts and freindly service. Can't wait to drop in again next time I am on holiday.
Sadly, I'm not from the area. Otherwise, I'd become a regular here. But Ms Julie's Kitchen will definitely be on my list to visit the next time I pass through. It's always nice to find a vegan restaurant that's open late. I had the Mac Attack sandwich. It was a little hard to get in my mouth because it was just so tilhick, but well worth the effort. Super cheesy and delicious.
Wow! So many choices!! So so delicious!
Great staff, delicious food and a really nice variety. I love that there were so many items that you don't find other places. The kale wings were a surprise show stealer. The breading is deliciously seasoned and they're somehow fried but not greasy at all - like, you don't even need a napkin not greasy. (Order extra sauce recommended.) This was my first time trying a hemp patty - in the form of a Ruben. It was fantastic. I also took home a maple pecan donut & some vegan carrot cake. I was really happy with both. If you love unique offerings & off-the-beaten-path places like I do, you've GOT to check this place out.
