We had such a good time visiting this place before a concert at the Goodyear Theater. We could tell everything was made in-house with love, and were quite pleased with our decision to eat there. One friend commented that it just felt clean – not tainted with extra ingredients. Even the pre-dinner bread was clearly made in house. Super fresh and not a perfect shape. Don’t EVEN get me started about the strudel and a new-to-me dessert, Krem Pita. It was AMAZING.Yes. Go here. It's freaking REAL.(The break pealed away in strips)

In years past we appreciated this restaurant and its signature dish of Chicken Paprikash, but apparently in the intervening time the prices have gone up too much to continue our patronage. Especially considering the portions of its more expensive dishes. The Broiled Scrod was delicious but small-portioned and the home fries had nearly half of them burnt. A confusing "Pop Tax" in addition to the sales tax also had us scratching out heads. While I can't fault the hostess and server (they were lovely) I'm afraid we'll have to dip out for now.

Location had me questioning visiting but this gem was so worth it. As we entered we felt welcomed and the ambiance had a very welcoming, clean and updated decor. Our server was lovely and attentive on (Valentines day around 1pm.)I ordered the Chicken Paprikash dish which included dessert. Yes included! The dish was served with apple streudel lightly topped with powdered sugar; made in house. It was a lovely tasty addition to my meal. Well done! Not a large parking lot but not too small either. Not in or near a shopping center that I could see.

If you're looking for a place that tastes and feels like sitting down for a meal with your family, that is brought out to you as it's ready from the kitchen, New Era has an old world charm of somewhere that has been around for years that is not found in the modern restaurant scene. If you're expecting fancy service and elegant dishes, this place is not for you. It is a no nonsense, just like your grandma made it, comfort style place. Would recommend the fried cod dinner, and the cabbage roll dinner. The dumplings had a surprising kick of paprika and the cabbage rolls had a great flavor. Minus one star only because we felt like there could be some updates to the website, menus (descriptions and photos), and more of an an online presence would really help :)

We first started eating there when it was just a small bar serving the local rubber factory workers on one side and small tables on the left. The grandmother made her awesome pigs in a blanket and my favorite, chicken paprikash. I understand years later there was a huge fire and it burnt to the ground. The neighborhood contributed money along with the insurance company to rebuild. You see, the grandmother built a hospital in her home town with all the proceeds from her kitchen! I think it was Belarus. The Akron Beacon Journal wrote an article on this fine lady! Today, her family continues to run the business. It's absolutely wonderful!

The car park is full on Thanksgiving Friday. Raucous voices from the side of the restaurant with the bar and the locals. A quite side for families with children and very helpful staff. I had my first polish food - chicken Paprikash. Tender chicken that falls off the bone with some form of pasta in a paprika based sauce.

If you're looking for great, authentic Serbian food, this is the place. They have other food too, if that is not your style.

Not good. Dirty. Rude staff and they were slow. The food was overpriced and typical. Very few interesting or ethnic dishes.
