Everytime I visit the old homestead in Akron, I stop by here to stock up on the best doughnuts in any state. I usually stay a week in Akron and I buy enough to last (although they never do). It’s very hard to find this kind of old-fashioned quality. I’m glad I only come once a year because I wouldn’t fit through the door if I still lived in Akron. If you’re craving a doughnut, come here. Worth the trip from anywhere in Akron/Canton area.

Great guy running a great shop. Makes his stuff fresh daily and it shows! I love when I get to come here, my only issue is he is cash only, but he put an ATM inside for convenience.

Many great reviews for the donuts. Stopped in and was able to get a few to go. The counter seating was roped off as there was no dining in. I'm not sure if that was only for today or no dining in at all. The donuts were very good.

Lived on the hill growing up, Visting family for the summer. I bought the same thing as the man ahead of me. 1 dozen of donuts and 1 Apple fritter. I was charged $28.00 And Louie changed me $4.00 more!

I don't think I've ever had donuts this good before. Cooked perfectly and the icing wasn't to sweet. We got 3 iced donuts with sprinkles, 1 glazed, and 1 french crueller.

Finally, donuts that taste FRESH and delicious! Hard to find around Akron/Falls/etc area. The older gentleman that served us was so sweet! We hope to order the gigantic donut one day for an event haha. It’s CASH ONLY- but they have an ATM inside the shop!

I used to go here as a kid. Their apple fritters were my favorite! I bit into one and I can taste the fruit that's gone bad. Literally so disappointed :( I spent 12 bucks and didn't get a receipt of course.
