Located inside the new Beautiful Court Yard Marriot North Side, The Speak East lounge is beautifully decorated with a great atmosphere, they make some amazing drinks, the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend it.Parking: Not a problem parking, multiple optionsWheelchair accessibility: Easy parking at North Side, area is very well lit, very busy location with a lot of pedestrian traffic, nearby you have Gearstar Perfromance Transmissions which is lit up like a UFO

This place checks all the boxes of a speakeasy. Loved the vibe and their drinks. I liked how this place is so cozy and gives you the perfect atmosphere to get drunk...haha. Music is not too loud so it is easy to have a conversation too. I liked how they have table seating as well and they come up to you to take your order and serve your drinks. Another good thing is you can get any drink made non alcoholic and they are happy to do that. Would definitely go back here again and try their flatbreads.

Good location and easy to find. I prefer a little more of a challenge but it had a cute entry. Not much seating but drinks were ok. Didn't see food options so we only had 1 drink and left. Service was friendly just didn't feel the vibe that we get from most craft cocktail places

From the moment you walk into this place and figure how to open the secret door the atmosphere is set. The chill vibe music to the decor you instantly feel welcomed. The bartender Hannah is well knowledgeable and makes a real classic cocktail worth your attention. We are so glad we stopped in and know this will be our go to place for now on. The selection of beverages is vast but wish you carried Bumbu rum, love to sip on that but was suggested something new and liked it just as much. My wife and I were spending a few days in Akron and had a few hours to kill before dinner and we found this place on Yelp. The ambiance was great, it's hidden away in the lobby of a hotel with a cool hidden entrance. We loved it so much we ended up coming back 3 nights in a row and trying a bunch of different cocktails. Our bartender was Jon and he was awesome, we ended up chatting about cocktails and I could tell he was so passionate about what he does, a true artist when it came to the drinks he made. Jon was a huge reason we came back the next 3 nights. I asked him to make me something off the menu on the last night and it was so delicious. I had 5 different drinks off the menu and loved every single one. The Not Your Average Banana was one of the best dessert cocktails I've ever had and the paper plane was another favorite. Highly recommend this place if you're in the area and even if you're not staying in Akron, it's certainly worth the drive! Jon, you're the man thanks for making our trip so special.

On vacation from Mass. One of the coolest bars I've ever been to. Fun entrance (secret entrance thru a phone booth) into a small, intimate, old-school style bar with quality people and quality drinks. Bar tenders were social and put on a show. Reasonably priced ($12-15) for high end drinks and wonderful atmosphere. Customers there all felt the same. Free parking. Must visit if you're in the area!
