I was so excited to go to Melt for the first time but I was very very dissapointed. The waitress started by spilling a drink all over us I get that accidents happen but she left it up to us to clean it up with napkins that were on the table and did not even get us a towel. The food was very bland I have had tastier food from a gas station. ( For real). It was over priced we spent over 70$ and still left the waitress 10$ for a tip. My girlfriend wrote a review and they got back to her and said that they would make it right by sending her a gift card. Well they did lol it was for 10$ what a joke you can't even get a sandwich for that. I told her to tell them to keep it. I will tell everyone I know to stay away from this place and I will NEVER go back now. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I can make a better grilled cheese in my kitchen and they have no respect for there costumers, only there money. Shame on you Melt if I could give you a negative rating I would.

I have no idea why this place doesn't have 5 stars! My boyfriend and I love finding good restaurants and we went back here a couple days after our first time. My boyfriend said The Cleveland Cheesesteak was the best he's ever had. The first time I got the Monte Cristo and it was amazing! Second time was Chicken and waffles, perfect! I didn't care for the mac n cheese, but everything else was really spectacular. It's a great sandwich place, great atmosphere too. We plan on going and trying all the sandwiches! Oh and one very important note; we complained about our fries and the kitchen manager himself made us new ones and served them to us in a huge bowl. Great customer service!!

Melt is a fun place with plenty of choices. They asked us immediately if we wanted a Gluten Free menu or Vegan menu which is very nice ( since we are vegan). We ordered the crispy tofu wings to start and the peanut butter and banana sandwich w/o cheese as our main dish. We substituted the kung pow broccoli side for the standard chips/slaw/fries. The service was excellent which is typical at Melt. As for the food the tofu wings were good but at $10 very overpriced. The sandwich has their house made peanut butter which is far too sweet (why is sugar needed in peanut butter!). The broccoli side was flavorful but a bit salty. Overall if you don't care about eating healthy it's probably for you, but if you are not used to lots of oil, sugar, and salt skip it.

So very, very good. The chicken Parmesan Mac and cheese is the kind of stick-to-your-ribs awesome that's a perfect match for a winter day. Sooooo good.

This is a great experience all around and probably my favorite Melt restaurant of the others in NE Ohio. The inside is open and doesn't feel too crowded with tables like the one on Rockside Road - the decor trendy and hipster with Christmas lights and a great pop culture mural and stars hanging from the ceiling. The menu is about the same, but they had a huge list of awesome cocktails! I can't wait to go back and try them all. I got a jelly donut cocktail and it was delicious. And the menu is really clean and new. The melt experience is the same as other melt restaurants- a kickass sandwich with a ton of cheese and crispy yummo French fries. I got the winner winner chicken dinner sandwich which is basically an entire chicken dinner with chicken, corn, collard greens, and stuffing on a sammy. Can't complain! My friend got a Mac and cheese which was delicious but almost overwhelming with the amount of cheese! :) When we went, we were there for a fundraiser for One of a Kind Pets, a no kill shelter and clinic for cats and dogs in Akron - I hope they do it again soon so I have a wonderful excuse to come back and get a great dinner and unique cocktail.

New to the area and we accidentally ended up here and what a pleasant surprise! They offered gluten free and vegan options. Every dish that passed was very appealing to the eye, mile high sandwiches! The rice pudding desert is an absolute must, amazing blend of flavors and not to sweet.

First of all, I would like to preface this review with the fact that I have been a big fan of Melt for a long time now, so I have been here through the steady changes of the restaurant and the slow decline to where it is now. The food - 5 stars. Really, anywhere that I can go and get a Gluten Free AND Vegan Cheese grilled cheese sandwich is perfect for me. Being dairy free and gluten free makes it difficult to find a yummy sandwich anywhere, let alone such a large variety of sandwiches, so Melt is perfect if you have a lot of dietary needs. It's also great if you have kids, because the kids meals are big portions with options as well! The service - 3 stars. Even when Melt isn't particularly busy, the service is usually pretty slow. It's not poor, in the way that the food is messed up/you don't get what you want, it's just that if you don't practically blow an air horn to get your servers attention, they probably won't be back at your table for a long time. The atmosphere - 2 stars. This aspect of the restaurant has gone downhill the most. The to-go boxes that I used to praise for their high quality have turned into the crappy paper boxes that you get from a Chinese Restaurant. The menus that used to be on the back of old vinyls, which were totally unique and awesome, have been replaced with the stereotypical flatback menus with laminated pages like you'd find at Burntwood Tavern or PF Chang's. Honestly, this place has gone from a Cleveland specialty to a chain that makes it difficult to eat at. Bathrooms - 3 stars. Any place that doesn't offer a gender neutral bathroom option (single stall, etc) automatically loses one star in my mind. While these bathrooms are usually clean, there are sometimes when they need more than a little love. I would normally be pretty lenient on this part because of how busy they are, but I have been in as 1 of 4 tables and the bathrooms have still been not-put-together. So sorry, but not sorry Melt. Overall, I still eat here. The peanut butter is to die for and the French fries are absolutely delicious, on top of the speciality sandwiches, but there's no way in hell I can give this place more than 3 stars. I'll update my review if I ever feel that it gets better.

Well, how many ways do you really need macaroni and cheese. Would you ever order macaroni and cheese anywhere else, likely not. Although the restaurant was not busy, the host sat us directly next to another family in booth separated by thin wall, had to ask to be moved. If it were busy I would have had no problem but come on, no common sense. The menu is confusing and overwhelming. Prices are too high. Food was ok, nothing special. Lots of different sandwich combinations available as well as "flavors" of Mac and cheese. Dining room is loud and gives off a cold vibe. The portions were huge, for 15 bucks for macaroni I better be taking some home, and I did. Sandwich was so big that I had to use a fork, it may as well came in a bowl. Sometime big is not always better. It was un manageable as a sandwich. Likely will not return.

Went for lunch with coworkers. It's a pub atmosphere but was quiet during the lunch hour. Staff was friendly and the food was out on timedelicious and a focus of conversation.

WOW!!!! My boss took me and four on my coworkers to lunch today at Melt and it was absolutely phenomenal! The service was also outstanding! She took care of all six of us and our drinks never ran dry. We ordered three amazing appetizers and each of us ordered their amazing sandwiches. I cannot wait to go back with my wife and kids! Outstanding job Melt Staff!!!!

Melt has delicious food. BEWARE the portions are huge so be prepared to get a box to go if you get a full size. The Parma Italy had everything you would like from chicken parmigiana and throws it on a huge sandwich with melted cheese. YUM

This is a happening place. But it's LOUD - the music was almost unbearably loud and it was virtually impossible to have a conversation. The food is good, but its way overpriced. Glad I tried it, but I won't be back any time soon.

Usually I start off my reviews by giving a brief summary of the business at hand; however to most, this would be but a superfluous redundancy. I mean come on, it's MELT! They feature their hulking, creative grilled cheese sandwiches for vegans, vegetarians, and meat lovers (like myself) alike. I opted for the Melt Cheeseburger, as I am on high calorie diet. A few sips of water and a jiffy later, we were given our food. The fries were INCREDIBLE. As someone who usually just eats French fries because they're there, I was amazed at how much I thoroughly enjoyed them. Turning to the sandwich, the meat was of an amazing quality. It more or less tasted like a ground strip steak enveloped in cheese. Overall, very good eating experience. The service was slightly lacking in the way that we were really never checked on. However, we had enough drinks to hold us over. This sluggishness miraculously changed however when it was time to give us the bill! What a coincidence! All in all, if your looking for a fun night out with friends and family, or just want to indulge in some amazingly crafted sandwiches, look no further than Melt Bar and Grill of Fairlawn, Ohio. They'll stuff you face full of cheese and it's derivatives like no other. I recommend it. PS: the Fairlawn location is good place to miss the crowd, as this location seems to be less frequented.
