Was excited to try this location in Akron, as I love to go when in Columbus. Went in today with my son for his first try. Walked through group of five right outside the doors just standing around smoking, two of which were in Qdoba uniforms. Just as we got through door random guy sitting in booth says ‘we’re closed, but if you want to order door dash you can do that’. Restaurant was empty except for him, someone sitting with him and staff behind counter. We looked behind counter but staff said nothing and whole thing, including outside scene seemed sketchy so we left. When I got to car I called store, picked up on second ring. I asked if they were open. She sighed and said yes but she was busy and trying to get caught up but if I wanted to come back in she’d wait on me. No thanks, we went to Chipotle.
No idea what in the world is going on at this location, but it’s a shame as we were happy to have Qdoba closer to home. Don’t plan to go back after this experience.

If you're looking for a fast-casual Mexican restaurant that doubles as a psychological experiment, boy oh boy, do I have the Qdoba for you.

I placed an online order thinking I'd stroll in, grab my nachos, and be out in 5 minutes like a civilized adult. Instead, I embarked on a 45-minute spiritual journey through the full Five Stages of Grief:

Denial – “It’s only been 10 minutes. They probably just started it. No biggie.”
Anger – “WHY DID I EVEN ORDER ONLINE IF THIS IS THE HUNGER GAMES?!”
Bargaining – “Maybe if I make eye contact with a worker, they’ll take pity on me. I’ll even take no guac.”
Depression – “I guess I didn’t need food today. Or joy. Or hope.”
Acceptance – “This is my life now. I live here. I am one with the salsa.”
The manager kept announcing, with the dramatic flair of someone auditioning for Kitchen Nightmares, that he “only had 4 people on shift.” Meanwhile, eight employees stood behind him, literally holding up the number 8 with their fingers like they were in an improv troupe called “We Can’t Lie Convincingly.”

It was like a hostage situation with queso.

To add flavor to this already spicy fever dream, one guy waiting next to me—who clearly hadn't eaten in days or had transcended mortal hunger—just gave up after 35 minutes and started hitting his weed pen in the dining area. I can't say I blame him. Honestly, if he'd passed it around, we'd all have taken a puff just to cope.

Eventually, I did get my food. Was it good? I don’t know. I blacked out from emotional exhaustion and woke up halfway through eating it in my car, crying into a tortilla.

Never again. But I’ll see you next week. Probably.

The food was decent, of what we received. We made an online order to pickup. I should have looked before leaving because they forgot the queso for the nachos and my cookie.

This deserves zero stars!’ This location has absolutely terrible service , I walked in around 2105est they were out of almost everything on the line refused to make more of anything despite being open for another hour. The employees were very rude making fun of me as soon as I walked in for no apparent reason , one referred to me as “big bro” despite my obviously being a woman, mind you I also have no idea who these workers are therefore it would not be appropriate to joke around or troll a paying customer . Zero stars do not recommend you go to this location at all ! Sad thing is I thing qdoba is way better than chipotle but I ended up getting chipotle due to this experience and will never return .

I’ve been to QDOBA plenty of times, but this visit was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. The service was incredibly slow and unwelcoming, and what made it worse was the attitude of one of the tall white male manager on shift. Instead of stepping in to help or improve the situation, he seemed irritated and dismissive not just to customers but even to his own team. You expect better leadership from a manager, but he made the whole environment feel tense and uncomfortable. Definitely not the kind of energy you want when you’re just trying to grab a quick meal. Won’t be back to this location.

Definitely disappointed. Never going back to this one. The “scoops” were barely anything and I had to keep asking can I have a scoop and they looked really upset. They used the excuse that everything was apparently out for anything I asked for. It felt like no one wanted to be there and it was the end of the world to even help us. The girl in the glasses was practically doing everything I felt horrible. We didn’t even get lids, it was wrapped in foil… I have to drive 20 minutes home to bring dinner to the family… absolutely ridiculous.
Very poorly ran at this location.

Great food but honestly they straight up scammed me/falsely advertised their promotion.

I told the employee I was here for the Wednesday special and ordered a chicken burrito bowl. I get to the check out to pay and the price is $5 over the promo price because only a normal burrito is “eligible” for the special. If that’s the case, the employee should have let me know from the beginning. So I ended up paying $5 more for a bowl than a burrito because the promotion was not clear and the employee allowed me to continue ordering a bowl knowing I was interested in the Wednesday special.

The service was slow, both ordering and getting the food. The burrito lacked flavor, there bits of old rice, hard bits, I’ll skip it next time 😢

I got a bowl over the weekend and it was very tasty!!! There was so much food, it was two meals! I’ll never eat Chipotle again. Plus I got their chips and queso. The queso was so good I could’ve drank it through a straw.

Been here a few times since they opened. Seems like they still really don't know what they're doing. They'll be out of something, or the portioning is completely different, staff is always changing up, etc. When it's done right it's good, but that's only every few times you go in, otherwise it's a toss up. Also I hate to be that guy but scowling the whole time you're making my food doesn't help.
