What an experience of a local restaurant. Comfortable atmosphere with locals. The pricing was very good, food excellent. Our table had bang bang shrimp, crab stuffed scampi, smothered chicken, lobster tail and my fave was the frog legs. Of the many places that I've had frog legs in northwest Ohio, these were the best.
We had take out as we were staying in an VRBO nearby. I was not a fan of the food at all. The sauce used on the Chicken Parm and in the Italian sampler is that basic canned sauce from Sysco or something similar. The salad was ruined with pickled beets thrown on top and the beet juice saturated the croutons. I should have ordered the meatloaf. Maybe that would have been better. We ended up throwing most of the food away. Very disappointing.
This was our first visit to this restaurant. We had a pleasant experience. The atmosphere is homey and spacious. It was a Sunday afternoon, so it was not crowded. We have been searching for a good Italian restaurant, and we felt we found it. We were a party of six, and everyone enjoyed their food from the classic egg plant parmesan to Italian pasta sampler platter, fettuccine Alfredo, lasagna, and Italian sausage sub and a variety of pies for dessert.
