Since moving to Ohio a year and a half ago, my family and I have made it a point to try different restaurants around the area. One place that caught our attention was the Spaghetti Warehouse in Akron, located right next to the University of Akron. I first discovered it through DoorDash while picking up orders in the area, and since we’re big fans of Italian food, I suggested we give it a try. We decided to go there as a way to celebrate two special milestones—our daughter moving into her dorm and our son starting 7th grade. The moment we walked in, we were struck by the restaurant’s unique, nostalgic decor. It has an old boardwalk theme, complete with vintage arcade machines like the claw game and a love tester, which both my kids and my wife enjoyed. It gave the place a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. We were greeted and seated by our server, Jackie, who was fantastic throughout our visit. She was friendly, attentive, and very helpful. Unfortunately, while looking over the menu, we noticed several items that were listed but not actually available, which was disappointing. For food, my wife chose to build her own spaghetti with the Pomodoro sauce—a blend of marinara and Alfredo—and she really enjoyed it. She also had the house salad with ranch, which she said was fresh and flavorful. My son built his own spaghetti with meat sauce and two meatballs, and he loved his meal as well. I decided on the 15-layer lasagna, which the menu described as “incredible.” Sadly, I didn’t feel the same—it looked a little burnt, tasted chewy, and reminded me more of a frozen lasagna than something freshly made. Overall, the food was hit-or-miss. My wife and son enjoyed their meals, while mine was underwhelming. The service, however, was excellent, and Jackie really made the experience more enjoyable. If you’re looking for a family-friendly spot with a fun atmosphere and decent spaghetti, Spaghetti Warehouse isn’t a bad choice. Just be prepared for a few menu inconsistencies and don’t expect every dish to live up to the hype.
We were visiting Akron from the Youngstown area. The wedding soup was awesome and so was the baked ziti. Wish it was closer.
Slow service 15 minutes to be greeted. One guy asked how many in my party, wandered off and never came back. The server then asked the same, wandered off to clean tables and never came back. Every single table was full of used dishes. I left and I had an hour and half for lunch, but figured I'd never get my food after being seated. Sadly the owner and managers have given up caring of what used to be a great place.

Lasagna was delicious as usual. Waitress was busy but attentive.
Sad that the meal no longer includes the salad and or soup. But it's been that way since Covid. So happy you're still open for business.

They were not busy at all....
We had 7 adults in the party...The lasagna looked like it was old. The Chicken Parmigiano was burnt, chicken fettuccine alfredo made the 2 people sick and they said it tasted like oil and butter with no flavor and made them sick. Service was slow and we had to ask for more drinks and at the end we waited awhile for our waitress to come back and had to ask for the check.

Well very warm in there. Found a roach on the wall crawling by my granddaughter. Another bug on table. Waitress was nice but didn't ask if wanted a refill. Still gave 20 tip. won't go back

Entrance area smells like there maybe some plumbing issues in the building. No greeter or any other staff to sit people in the middle of lunch hour. Waited a few more minutes(still no employees)before leaving. Didn’t get a chance to try the food because we left due to the very unpleasant smell in the front area of the restaurant.
I was in after the lunch rush and I enjoyed great service with a great meal. Just like time, I spent less time on my phone and more time appreciating the atmosphere. I'm planning on coming again next month.

Ordered Chicken and Shrimp Alfredo. Chicken was boiled, not grilled. Pasta was dry, bland, and almost no sauce. Tasted like overpriced cafeteria food. When I reached out, they told me to order extra sauce next time. I will not be ordering again.

Hubs and I split the trio (chicken parm, fettuccine alfredo, and lasagne). It was WONDERFUL. Our son ordered spaghetti with meatballs and loved it. The focaccia bread was the best ever.
We almost left... the hostess never really greeted us, just seated us at a dirty table (crumbs, sticky). We didn't see our wait person for almost 5 minutes. He immediately moved us to a clean table, apologized, and got out drinks out. Ignore the rundown looking building, and sign with burnt out letter, and the weird booths. The food is worth it - promise!

We have enjoyed Spaghetti Warehouse for years.
I picked up lunch there today and I was very surprised. The bread has been changed from the staple that we all know and love to something unrecognizable. The new bread was cut from a larger loaf and super greasy. The wedding soup has changed as well. The original small meatballs we love have been replaced by chucks of meat that seem to be made from the same meat that the new meatballs are made from. I ordered the standby standard lunch size spaghetti and meatballs. The consistency of the meatballs is different and strange, and the spaghetti was very overcooked. I hope this restaurant re-considers these changes because I was fully let down.

Everything was oily and our Alfredo was broken down. Not good at all. This used to be our favorite place to go to obviously not anymore!
