Good food but awful service, we needed to go boxes and something they forgot to give us but they ignored us waiting at the counter for over 10 minutes. Three different members of my family went up to take shifts waiting to get assistance.
I ended up politely calling out to get attention several times while less than 5 feet from a worker after we already waited about 10 minutes, was given eye contact by a worker, and continued to be ignored. I get if you’re busy, but it takes 15 seconds to ask what someone needs, and they weren’t busy at all (three customers in the restaurant and a slow drive-through).
We ended up throwing away our food that we had planned on saving because we needed to go and couldn’t wait any longer to ask for to-go boxes.

We used to go all the time when they had servers, and it used to very busy. Now that they have the tablet ordering we hardly ever go.

I like steak 'n shake I haven't been to one in a couple years The line was long so I decided to go in and I would say it would be a five-star because I really enjoy the food but the new automated kiosk they have doesn't show you what you have in your cart like any other automatic point of sale type thing and so it was confusing and I ended up only getting the burger instead of the meal and it was simply because of their software at their self-service kiosk to ring yourself up it was annoying inconvenient and made the experience less desirable.

Came through the drive thru at 9:45 and got refused service because they were “done taking orders for the night.” God forbid they have to make one burger fifteen minutes before they close. Service has always been pretty terrible before this day too but this experience inspired me to write a review. God bless

Hadn't been here since they closed for COVID years ago, completely different! It's all self serve inside ,order at kiosk,get your own drinks no waiters! Any how our burgers and fries were delicious! Will stop again!

Unfortunately this place takes orders on a kiosk in the store but the food was great and we didn't wait long, the only downside that it asks you to tip everytime when you're literally getting your own order and taking to a seat, kinda like McDonald's.

Ordered a burger and was given the wrong burger with cheese covered in mustard dripping out the side…. I returned to get my burger I ordered and met with a very rude women. She seemed upset and full of attitude that I wanted what I ordered. Then proceeded to tell me to keep the burger which had cheese(can’t eat cheese). I refused and she snarled, snagged the burger from my hand, and said thanks and shut the window.
Food was okay, service sucks.
To the women that hates her job…….find a new one. Don’t accept a position if you can’t fill the role successfully with out giving attitude to customers because of your faults.
Food is good. Don0't like the self-serve atmosphere.

Ordered online, first time ever eating here. Ordering was fairly easy. Arrived @ 7:55. Order said it would be ready @7:40. There were no orders in the online pickup area. No one assisting customers due to digital ordering screens. Kept trying to get the attention of someone to assist me for 10 minutes. Finally got help, had to show my order on my phone. They found it in the back. Got home (4 minutes away.) I only had 2 lg fries, ordered & paid for 3. Ordered a triple burger & got a double with onions, ordered no onions.. Everything was cold. First & last visit to Steak & Shake unless management wants to invite us back & prove they can do better.
