It's been sometime since I've tried this Hidden gem, a hot spot in The Merriman valley. I chose take out because I know how busy it gets and the wait is expected to be an hour. I get it, it is really worth the wait. The chef, cares for his cuisine and it shows in all the flavor profiles, the extra care is present. The Tekka rice bowl with tuna was a party in my mouth and the miso soup was just beautiful. Thank you for the amazing food. Readers be warned it is an hour wait even with take out. Plan accordingly this is a one man show and or it should be! I can't let the service and the bad experience cloud this review because we all have bad days.

EDIT: After actually eating my 2 rolls (finally)… not even worth the 45 minutes.
This place was already on our “iffy” list simply bc of how ridiculous the wait is. One dinner for 2 (on a week day) turned into a nearly 3 hour event with dodgy service the first time we went. So we vowed to only do carry out - bc we don’t want to be trapped here again.
Well tonight’s carry out did us in. When we ordered the lady we spoke to asked us if the 45 min wait for pickup was fine. We said “yes” and she said “ok just wanted to make sure”.
The 45 minute wait was ok. The extra 30 minuted waiting in the restaurant for our order to actually be done - was not.
Listen, if it’s busy and it’s gonna take longer, tell us. & then we’ll decide whether it’s worth the wait. Sushi katsu is good - but not good enough to wait an hour and a half for 5 sushi rolls. We will no longer patronize this location.

Waited almost an hr for sushi. It was good but not the next day as my boyfriend and I both have food poisoning. We went last night 5/7. Won't be going back.
The food was absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced! The owner prepared out sushi right in front of us so everything was fresh. Highly recommend this place!
