This may be a decent place for door dashing some vegan wings but would struggle to recommend anything beyond such…Upon entrance, we did not find someone to place our order for a few minutes until someone came up from the basement, employee-only area.There was a green unrefrigerated drink I presumed to be a soursop tea and ordered such…. I was told it was a tequila drink and agreed to have one. After many confused clicks on the payment/ordering device, I was told my total was around $34 for one burrito and the drink. I expressed confusion and staff said it was the tequila drink. It was an easy decision to cancel my order of mystery, $20 off menu kool-aid tequila drink.Wings were greatBurrito was sad:There was no guacamole as advertised.I strongly suspect that this was not house-made pico de gallo and strongly suspect a jar of something along the line of Pace salsa.I did not appreciate any cilantro in the cilantro rice. The plant-based meat was actually good, but the remainder of the burrito was left to be desired.

The food has been consistently delicious every time I’ve visited. As a vegan of nearly five years that has travelled all over the US I can confidently say the loaded fries are the best I’ve tried, right here in Akron! The Soulful Vegan is a must try.
I paid 28.32 for two items the vegan big Mac which was extremely sloppy everything was falling off the sandwich the cheese was like rubber. I had to take it off the sandwich, I didn’t like that at all and I also got vegan ribs ended up only getting 1 rib this was definitely confusing to me but I’m sure this food is over priced and overrated . The presentation of the food is so bad there’s no neatness at all. Everything was messy n got all over my hands. Wouldn’t recommend this place or maybe not try it again

The chicken dinner made of soy w/ gravy and onions was wow!!! Seitan/gluten proteins are always better, and have such an easily attainable great texture, so I was very surprised that even the texture was really enjoyable. As a first timer, I didn't know what to expect with flavor and there was so much flavor! The rest of the fam had burgers and fries. Can’t go wrong there! To the employees who were late, so late that we never saw them arrive, smh. Your boss is a good one, she doesn’t deserve that.Parking: Plenty of parking right in front of the restaurant.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy first floor level, easy peezy.

I'm torn with this one.Taste-wise, most of our food was good, but the presentation was, well, bad. Let's talk about the rib dinner: it's made from jackfruit and really does taste like meat. It's pretty good, but it looked like it was just slapped down on the plate...bbq sauce smeared along the sides of the plate...pretty slapdash.It came with two sides, which, if plated with the ribs, might have looked better. But the side of Mac & cheese came separately in a cup, and the side of truffle fries came in a styrofoam clamshell. The Mac was decent... not cheesy but had a good flavor. The fries were lukewarm and soggy and left a greasy pool of oil at the bottom.It was definitely small portions.... Not enough to fill my husband's stomach. He ate half of my meal...which brings me to the next dish: burrito bowl.This was quite filling, flavorful, and large-portioned. It was nicely presented, even if in a plastic bowl.They were out of a lot of things on the menu, and there was no dessert to be seen, which was disappointing because vegan desserts are hard to come by. I was hoping for more creative dishes and ingredients, but it was mainly typical restaurant fare ( hamburgers, fish, tacos , fries) but just with vegan meat swapped in for real meat. Not saying it wasn't good...just not really creative.I can see this being more of a take-out place. I don't recommend it as a destination.

My husband and I have been here twice. The food was great both times. The second time we went, they were out of several menu items that we ordered, but I think the owner is doing a lot of the work herself, so I wasn't upset. She's doing a great job! My husband loved the bac'n on the burger.
So many selections to choose from. Great food. Sometimes they're out of certain items, but that's OK. The food is delicious.

Oh boy, let me spill the tea on my Soulful Vegan adventure! I strutted in for the rib and shrimp dinner, thinking I was about to be serenaded by flavor. Well, let me tell you, it was more like a culinary horror show.The Mac n cheese? Dry as the Sahara, with the flavor profile of a cardboard box. I'd give it a participation trophy for showing up. Now, onto the ribs – or should I say, the flavorless rubber sticks. On a scale of 1 to 10, they barely made it to a 2.2, and that's me being the Mother Teresa of food ratings.And the service? Oh, honey, it was like I was invisible. No one bothered to check if I was drowning in my culinary disappointment. Common courtesy took a vacation, apparently.So, dear vegans in Akron, consider this your PSA: Soulful Vegan is a taste bud graveyard. Drive past with the speed of a superhero avoiding a disaster. Don't waste your precious time or hard-earned cash on this flavorless expedition! ?️?♂️?
