I'm conflicted about Valley Cafe. I had lunch about a week ago. Lunch consisted of iced tea which was OK. I chose a reuben which I really enjoyed. I paid about 3.29 upcharge for onion rings which might have been good when they were freshly fried...some hours before they were served to me. I ate them, so they weren't terrible, just not good. The restaurant itself is not what I would call unclean, it's just dingy. I suggest the owners give it a good deep clean. I look forward to giving it another try

This is a very busy mom and pop style place to eat. Food was delicious! If your ever in Akron, Ohio try this. You won't be disappointed.

Ate here for the first time based on family member recommendation. Extremely attentive service and excellent omelets. Marbled rye is a winner by itself. Will be back.

A few weeks ago I had a bad experience at this restaurant with some server being rude and making me feel like an inconvenience. The food was terrific as always which is what ultimately made me come back with my coworker for lunch today. To my surprise, Our server Bella was absolutely fantastic. She was so attentive, kind, and personable. She told us it was her second day working here but honestly she’s the best server I’ve ever had here as it’s clear she cares about your experience— not just getting a paycheck. So glad to see that you’re getting some new waitresses, will absolutely be returning with friends.

This is normally such a great little breakfast place!! Cute atmosphere, friendly staff, and good food.
I only got the cute atmosphere today, unfortunately. The lunch service needs some work, it seems.
I ordered a crispy chicken salad with ranch dressing. My kids ordered cheeseburgers made medium-well, served with chips.
My salad came pre-tossed and all the vegetables were soggy. The croutons were so greasy that they had no crisp crunch. The ranch dressing I ordered was either swapped for a different dressing or was past its date because it was sour. I mentioned this to my waitress Brianna, who asked me what I wanted instead. I opted for a burger.
My kids’ burgers came and were definitely not medium-well. They had a thick pink center that looked close to medium or medium rare, with little to no char on the outside. My daughter couldn’t eat her burger, saying it was bland and undercooked. The chips were again, soggy and undercooked in parts that the chips were flimsy in some areas while being almost burnt in others.
My burger came a few minutes later, and didn’t arrive with chips as they were making a ‘fresh’ batch. Once they came, they were the same as my kids’ chips. My burger was also bland, it didn’t even taste like they used salt anywhere during the cooking process.
Brianna was very disengaged the rest of our dining experience, not even looking at our table when dropping the check or drink refills. It felt like we inconvenienced her to ask for more, so I didn’t speak up about my kids’ burgers or chips, as I wasn’t sure how they’d react. This is so saddening because everyone is usually so friendly and happy to see you when you walk in and throughout the dining experience!
Overall a very disappointing lunch experience. I’ll come back for breakfast, but yikes the lunch experience was unfortunately bad.

Decent food. Service was efficient, but the vibe had us asking each other 'did we do something to offend them?'

I never knew this place existed. I ordered the lavender lemonade, and they were not skimpy on the liquor. I also ordered the grit cakes with shrimp and garlic bread. Kiss 💋 😘 the cook! The meal was fresh, hot, and delicious!!!
Took my mother here for mothers day. Breakfast was good. I had blueberry pancake and it was delicious. Sausage gravy had good flavor and sausage is nice and tender. However there is way to much sausage compared to gravy. The sausage was also way to large to eat comfortably. Save yourself money and make everyone happier by reducing the amount of sausage by say 1/3 per batch.

Delicious food and great service!
The grill was broken so quite a few menu items were not available: pancakes home fries burritos. A grill is kind of important don’t you think? Did they call a repairman? Omelette was not a fluffy omelette but kinda greasy. Waffle fries were fried to a crisp with old oil. Bacon not crispy but greasy. We didnt realize this was considered a greasy spoon.
And we got sick
Good food..good price
The food is always perfect. The staff is incredible.
Favorite things about this place after several visits would be the Amish Bread Cinnamon Toast and the flavored coffee. Otherwise, in my opinion, it’s way overpriced and they nickel and dime you for everything. Not to mention there’s only ever been one server I’ve had who has any personality and is friendly/hospitable. Not sure if I’ll be returning.
