The Hawks Nest Pub is a local spot located in a gas station, offering good food and friendly service. Despite its unassuming and somewhat shady exterior, it is considered a hidden gem by many visitors. The restaurant is known for its delicious meals, such as the Italian sub, big toasted fish sub, and roast beef and mushroom melt, which have received positive reviews for their taste and portion sizes. The sides are also appreciated for being solid and satisfying.
Customers often mention that the staff is friendly and sincere, creating a welcoming atmosphere. However, service can be quite basic, with some guests noting that staff members may only point out where to find their food and not offer much assistance beyond that. Parking is available in the back, making it convenient to stop by.
Food prices and billing can sometimes be inconsistent, with a few instances of overcharging on items like chips, wings, and drinks. Customers advise paying attention to prices at checkout to avoid being overcharged, though the staff has been reported to correct mistakes when noticed. Overall, The Hawks Nest Pub is praised for its good food, friendly staff, and laid-back vibe, making it worth a stop for those nearby or passing through.
