I was out for an afternoon cruising the countryside and was hoping for some local flavor for lunch. The open front door drew me right in. The melt sandwich was great the brusslesprouts were delicious, and the local cider was perfect.I didn't plan on coming here the first time but I do plan on coming back.

Really good food in a village setting. Locally sourced foods. Updated menu, They also have a selection of beers etc. Historic Restored building. Great place to stop if you are on a biker tour or looking for a new place to eat.

I had the pleasure of eating here multiple times over a few days’ visit in Amesville. Everything was hearty and delicious, with the beautiful tastes of local, seasonal ingredients. Made with love and care. Hope I’ll get to return someday.

This wonderful little hole in the wall is such a pleasant spot for dinner and the food is wonderful. I had the Nashville hot fried chicken, one light piece, one dark piece. It wasn't very spicy, but the flavor was very nice. Went perfectly with the onion rings, slaw, and remulade. Reasonable prices, locally sourced chicken. Pleasant, homey atmosphere, and friendly staff. Will 100% return the next time I'm in the area.

Stopped in at the recommendation of someone else. There was a lot to be desired.Upon entering the place it does have a cute local feel. We never received even a simply hello or hi upon approaching the counter. The employee behind the counter just stood and looked at us. After asking if we could just sit anywhere, we were given menus from server (same person that didn’t greet us). My mom asked if she could order a glass of wine and the servers response was “I can’t do that”. What she actually meant was she wasn’t old enough to open and pour the wine and it took another employee that happened to be in earshot to say that she could help her with that. My mom ended up getting a lemonade instead. From there we decided to split some appetizers since we weren’t super hungry. The apps all came out on the same plate and we had to ask for plates for us to be able to share the apps (there were 5 in our group so hard to reach or share sauces without small plates for each person). The silent server did quickly bring plates but never said anything. Also didn’t ask how our food was.As we were finishing up, another employee (I’m assuming the person who was cooking that day) came out and while she was doing something else took the time to ask us how the food was and asked us if we tried the jalapeños or mushrooms that weren’t listed on the menu yet. Since our server barely spoke to us we had no idea of these items. But we were appreciative of at least one person asking about our food. For the food, I would say I really liked the cheese curds. We also tried fried pickles, onion rings, pretzel bites. All were as expected. The cheese sauce and marinara sauce weren’t really hot. I’m not sure if they weren’t supposed to be.Overall, the experience was really lacking and disappointing. Personally I love checking out locally owned places and sharing good experiences. I don’t expect perfect, but I do expect at minimum a hello or hi, how is your food, thank you for coming in.Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance has a ramp

was craving a juicy pink in the center perfect burger and a glass of florence creamery whole milk. upon ordering the milk i was informed that they only have chocolate, because the store next door carries the milk now, which made no sense to me at all. store only sells pints.was not asked how i want my burger cooked,,,, it came out dry as a bone, was like chewing on an old shoe leather... informed my waitress,, all she said was sorry, no offer of remaking it or any discount. is a shame because its all local food and to burn and dry out local beef like that is an insult to the farmer. also i tried ordering 3 chillis to go and was told they just ran out..

Great little place with excellent locally sourced food! My husband and I stopped by for a late breakfast on the recommendation of some friends and we are so glad we did. It’s a simple no-frills little spot with excellent food and service. We will definitely be back.

In a small town, a place like this is a miracle. Visited from across the county for the first time, and will definitely be back. We had kale salad, pulled pork and catfish po' boy sandwiches, and fries. All were outstanding, and the fries are the best I've had anywhere. Can't wait to try more of the menu, especially the pizzas (which many friends have raved about). We also really appreciated our personable server, Courtney (not sure about the spelling). We will be bringing friends and family back for more. Very much worth a drive from anywhere in the general area. It feels like a secret you don't want to keep from everyone else!
