Up for a few days staying at a cottage across the road. Had heard of the restaurant & it’s good Italian food. Our 1st time & have to say it was EXCELLENT!! Hubby had the Chicken Alessandro & I had the Pasta Fruita de Mar (sp?🤪). We will definitely be back. Our waiter, “D” was very personable & a great server. Everyone there was very friendly.
I will take part of the blame on this, because I ordered a steak at an Italian restaurant, but the 8oz delmonico at 38 bucks, served with 4 mini potato halves and 4 slices of burned squash was raw after being ordered medium. The marsala scallops were ok, but very sugary for some reason. The kid got the spaghetti and meatball and was great as usual. Specials should be, well, special, and dont understand how an 8oz steak is 38 bucks. If id known, i wouldnt of ordered it.
I have been here twice and found nothing special about the food. I don't remember what I had the first time I was there. I had gnocchi this time and 2 cannoli's. The gnocchi was under seasoned and there were 4 mushroom pieces on my plate. It was very underwhelming. The cannoli were just OK, and they were 10 dollars a piece, which I did not realize until I got the bill. I love food and don't normally dislike much of anything. But I will not give this place...
