We went to this place and the door was locked. We got there at 5:36 pm but there was no sign saying it was closed even though the closing time was at 6. There was a lady there who would not even answer our questions and just said it was closed. We were looking for a specific fish. We're disappointed by the lack of experience we even got. If the store is closing early, make it clear.

Very nice. We tried several samples which, including the seaweed salad, calamari salad and smoked salmon which were delicious. We also bought some and took home for dinner tonight, which was good as well. Will definitely go back!!!

Our last time there was 5 years ago. This restaurant used to be a great seafood spot. There were only 4 couples in the place the evening we were there. We should have known that something had changed as the last time we were here the placed was packed. It took an hour and 50 minutes before we got served and the bill paid. The wait service was fair, the food prep time was terrible, and the cost was was high and not justified.

Consistently great seafood. It's hard to deviate from the Perch dinner...lots of other great seafood choices as well. Red chowder is simple, a bit spicy, excellent.

The food was excellent and service was great. . .once it happened. The poor server was all alone in the dining room trying to stay on top of the orders and bus tables. It took over 90 minutes to get the meals but that's no fault to the server and I'm assuming the chefs were also low staffed. Management needs to do a better job helping out the staff and keeping the customers coming back for the excellent seafood.

It wasn't good. As you can see, the broccoli was cold - the butter wouldn't melt. The clams and calamari were over deep fried and very chewy. The fish and potatoes were bland. I don't usually write bad review but this time I was very disappointed. Heard good things and I'll try again. Probably not soon. Several items were sold out so we didn't get what we really wanted- and our reservation was 6:00 on a week day. They open at 4:00.

The new owners are continuing a strong tradition...great food, great experience!Today we stopped in for take out lunch from the Sea Food Market...The owners rewarded us to a fabulous take out meal for six. All where very satisfied. Great job, Hil-Mak!

We ordered 2 different kinds of fish sandwiches & seafood salad. We always get the seafood salad & love it. The sandwiches were cooked right in front of us & were soooooooo good! Hil-Mak's has never disappointed us.
