As of yesterday, Mac Shack will not be reopening in Athens. Despite only eating the Oreo Pies (those were delicious btw), this place was always a great stop and never let me down during my time at OU so far. It's a shame to see it go, however they definitely left their mark here during their time.
the workers were god sent and so sweet, mac and cheese was so fire i had dreams about it 10/10 would eat it so many more times. it was very crowded (it was halloweekend so it’s expected) but nice atmosphere and very cutesy on the inside and outside.
If you’re gonna go, do it on a Monday when it’s half-price day. Very midrange. Just kind of ‘eh’. Went here for a friend’s birthday expecting a Mac and cheese bar type experience (like a buffet or subway/chipotle kinda thing) but it’s just a small place with very little seating and you order at the counter.
