“Finally got the chance to dine in at one of highest rated restaurants in the town. The staff were friendly and welcoming. We ordered lamb chops, lamb shawarma and chicken wrap. Lamb chops were okayish but the shawarma and chicken wrap were really good. In desserts , we were split between chocolate forte and tiramisu. We went for chocolate forte and it was delicious. I would recommend this place if you are in town.”

“My wife went to school at Ohio University... and we were in town with 5 other friends for four days enjoying the local roads (on our motorcycles) and enjoying the town every afternoon and evening.

A very welcoming bar with great bartenders and great drink choices... especially the draft list.

We were there mid-afternoon for beers and darts. Open mic started up soon after we arrived and that was pretty good... although pretty loud considering that there were only six of us in the place -- coulda dialed it back a bit.

“I waited tables there a few months back, and frequently brought home food which was always delicious so this is a slightly biased review right off the bat. First time going back tonight for an actual sit down and everything was so good. Even having tried nearly everything on this menu, it still took me a hot minute to decide what I wanted tonight— there really are that many good options here. I ended up picking red curry and it was ballin. Pro tip: ice cream (when available) on top of the homemade chocolate raspberry cake. Other ex employee pro tip: the salad greens are fresh daily and the sesame soy dressing is the bomb.”

“My father had a lovely, quiet stay at OU Inn, all made possible by Dani! She helped set him up in a very comfortable and easily accessible room, and she treated him like family, It meant so much that he could stay here during the Thanksgiving holiday!”

I had the breakfast burger and dad had the biscuit stack. The food was great and very generous portions. When we left, Dad forgot his cell phone on the table. We only knew that because our server came running out of the door as we got to our vehicle. Unfortunately, I didn't remember her name but we are very thankful and will definitely be back.”

“I stocked up for a week with items to keep my sweet tooth happy last weekend. I am in deep love with this place! The vanilla bean strawberry tart was hands down one of the most scrumptious pastries I’ve ever had. The pastry crust was divine. Cinnamon rolls are fantastic. Buttery and delicious and satisfying. Grabbed a cheesecake slice and once again delicious. I can’t say enough about how delightful these baked goods are. I’m waiting for them to open up today so I can stock up again for another week. This is my favorite obsession.”

“A great community bakery with a cozy and welcoming atmosphere. I love the Village Bakery and will always give them 5 stars. They have been a go-to breakfast place for years, as I have grown up in Athens. However, in the past couple of years they have changed the way they made their breakfast sandwiches. They used to be so good, definitely a favorite. Now the eggs are chewy and sad. I wish they would go back to their old recipe! But until then, I’ll just get the quiche which is also delicious!

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a handicap spot at the front of the building and the main floor is wheelchair accessible. However, there is more seating up a couple of stairs that are not accessible.”

My War Su Gai had only broccoli with the chicken......seems every place in the Athens area with War Su Gai on the menu makes it differently but it's not the way I remember it from Columbus. Since my teens, every place in Columbus made War Su Gai as sliced crispy chicken breast on a bed of lettuce, sprinkled with almonds & served with fried rice & a yellow gravy! Nobody in the Athens area makes it that way. ? The Rice Bowl needs to expand!”

“We went here because a friend went to college in Athens and said this was his favorite pizza while he was in school down there. I thought the pizza was alright. We also ordered side salads and waffle chips with Cajun seasoning. The salads were jam packed in those tiny bowls. The chips were crispy and flavorful.

The men's restroom was unique as the walls are brick and metal. 3 different heights of urinals. The stall door was odd as it was high off the floor. I liked the sink. It is like one found in a kitchen. Deep metal with tons of room to wash your hands(the opposite of a typical small porcelain sink).

The music being played was country. It was really loud too. I saw a couple groups sit down and then move to the courtyard outside where it was not as loud.

Would I go back? Most definitely.”

The kitchen workers just stared at us and did not notify anyone we were waiting One kitchen employee would walk out to watch baseball that was playing on the TV.. The menu was crappy with little to choose from. The floor was sticky as well. We did not get any utensils sauces or crackers with our order. Nobody came to ask if we wanted refills or to even see how our meal was. I would not have left a tip if I paid at the end of our visit.”
